Enbilulugugal/Baphofucked/ Nailed Nazarene Industries/2019 Compilation Album Re-Issue Review

  U.S.A's  Enbilulugugal  have  returned  with  a  compilation  album  which  consists  of  their  2003  and  2011  promo  demo's  of  the  same  name  "Baphofucked"  as  well  as  displaying  their  raw  mixture  of  satanic  black metal  noise  and  grindcore  and  this  is  a  review  of  the  album  which  was  released  in  2019  by  Nailed  Nazarene  Industries.

  A  very  dark and  ritualistic  sound  starts  off  the  compilation  before  going  into  a  heavier  direction  which  also  introduces  high  pitched  black  metal  screams  into  the  music.  When  the  music  speeds  up  a  great  amount  of  tremolo  picking  and  blast  beats  can  be  heard  which  also  gives  the  songs  more  of  a  raw  feeling.

  A  small  amount  of  melody  can  also  be  heard  in  some  of  the  guitar  riffing  while  the  songs  also  add  in  a  decent  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and f ast  parts.  When  guitar  solos  and  leads  are  utilized  they  are  also  done  in  a  very  raw  and  distorted  style  along  with  some  songs  also  mixing  in  elements  of  harsh  noise  as  well  as  some  deep  growls  also  being  utilized  at  times.  \\

  Touches  of  grindcore  can  also  be  heard  in  some  of  the  faster  sections  of  the  songs  along  with  a  great  portion  of  the  tracks  being  very  shirt  in  length,  as  the  compilation  progresses  a  small  amount  of  drones  can  also  be  heard  and  the  compilation  closes  with  a  cover  of  Anal  Cunt's  "I  Hope  You  Get  Deported".  The  production  sounds  very  dark,  raw  and  lo-fi  while  the  lyrics  cover  Satanism,  Occultism  and  Blasphemy  themes.

  In  my  opinion  this  is  a  very  great  sounding  collection  from  Enbilulugugal  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  raw  black  metal,  harsh  noise  and  grindcore,  you  should  check  out  this  compilation  re-issue.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Sinister  Mauling  Of  Pathetic  Human  Shit"  "Burning  The  Church  Of  Lies"  "Vomit  the  Necronomicon"  and  "Hail The HellNoize".  8  out  of  10.

Enbilululugugal/Noizemongers For Goatserpent/Crucial Blast/2013 Double CD Review

  Enbilululugugal  are  a  music  project  from  California  that  has  been  featured  before  in  this  zine  with  a  very  diverse  sound  which  ranges  from  raw  and  primitive  occult  black  metal, grindcore,  noisecore,  harsh  noise  and  crust  punk  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2013  double  album  compilation  "Noizemongers For Goatserpent"  which  was  released  by  Crucial  Blast  in  the  year  of  2013  and  contains  their  2004  album  of  the  same  name  along  with  a  remix  album  of  the  2004  material  and  rare  compilation and  demo  tracks  and  there  is  a  total  of  79  tracks  so  the  review  will  be  a  little  bit  more  basic.

  Drums  range  from  slow,  mid  paced  to fast  drumming  with  alot  of  brutal  sounding  blast  beats  and  primitive  style  playing,  while the  noise  effects  and  loops  bring  a  very  loud  and  harsh  power  electronics  sound  to  the  music  and  you  can  hear  alot  of  influences  from  the  Japanese  noise  movement  which  was  at its  peak  in  the  90s  but  updated  to  fit  the  sound  of  this  band,  also  included  on  this  compilation  are  also  songs  that  are  purely  noise  with  no  black  metal  elements  but  there  are  some  songs  that  are  purely  noise  but  still  include  the  black  metal  vocals,  on  the  remix  part  of  the  compilation  the  noise  elements  become  powerful  and  the  album  for  the  most  part  is  being  played  backwards,  as  for  the  bass  playing  it  has  a  very  raw  and  primitive  feeling  that is  mixed  down  in  the  mix  at  times  with  some   riffs  that  combine  black  metal,  noisecore  and  crust  punk  together  and  in  certain  songs  on  this  compilation  they  have  a  very  powerful  and  dominant  sound  to  them.

  Rhythm  guitars  range  from  slow,  mid  paced  to  fast  riffs  that  combine  influences  from  bestial,  war  and  black  metal  together  but  also  utilize  a  great  amount  of  grind,  noisecore,  crust  and  punk  elements   which  are  more  dominate  on  the  newer  material  and  all  of  the  musical  genres  getting  combined  creates  the  guitar  sound  of   Enbilululugugal  along  with  a  great  amount  of  experimental elements  and  there  are  no  melodies  until  the  more  current  material  kicks  in  and   guitasr  solos  and  leads  are  only  utilized  on  certain  songs  throughout  the  compilation   and  this  compilation  for  the  most  post  is  the  most  primitive  black/noise/punk  that  you  will  ever  hear,  as  for  the  synths  which  are  only used  in  certain  songs  bring  a  very  dark  and  psychedelic  feeling to  the  compilation.


  Vocals  are  mostly  high  pitched  black  metal  and  noisecore  screams  and  at  times  they  have  a  very  depressive  and  suicidal  sound  to  them  as  well  as  some  deep  bestial  black  metal growls  being  utilized  on  some  of  the  songs  and  in  addition  there  are  some spoken  word  parts  being  utilized  on  some songs  as  well  as  grim  screams,  towards  the  end  there  are  some  tortured  screams  that  sound  like  war  victims  being  put  to  death,  while  the  song  lyrics  cover  their own  made  up  mythology  which  seem  to  be  inspired  by  the  writings  of  H.P  Lovecraft  along  with  a  made  up  garbled  language,  left  hand  path,  occultism,  satanism,  porn,  gore,  and  goat  worship  themes  and  there  are  some  song  titles  spelled  back words  when  the remixes  start  kicking  in,  as  for  the  production  it  has  a  very  harsh,  heavy,  raw  and  primitive  sound  which  fits   the  chaotic  mood  of  the  music.

  In  my  opinion  this  is  a  great  sounding  double  album  from  Enbilululugugal  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  primitive  black  metal/punk/harsh  noise,  you  should  check out  this  compilation.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Noizemongers  For  Goatserpent"  "Satanic  Blood  Stains"  "His  Ascent  From Hell"  and  "Consumed  By  Flames".  RECOMMENDED  BUY.

Enbilulugugal/The Day After/Glossolalia Records/Dipsomanic Records/2013 CD Review

  Enibilulugugal are  a  band  from  California  that  has  been  featured  before  in  this  zine  with  a  musical  style  that  combines  raw  and  primitive  sounding  occult  black  metal  with  harsh  noise  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2013  album  "The  Day  After"  which  was  released  as  a  joint  effort  between  Glossolalia  and  Dipsomanic  Records.

  Drum  programming  are  all  slow  to  mid  paced  beats,  while  the  noise  effects  bring  in  the  harsh  noise/power  electronics  sound  to  the  recording,  as  for  the  bass  playing  it  has  a  very  dark  tone  with  riffs  that  follow  the  riffing  that  are  coming  out  of  the  guitars.

  Rhythm  guitars  are  all  slow  to  mid  paced  riffs  that  combine  primitive  black  metal  with  doom  to  create  a  sound  of  their  own  with  some  dark  sounding  melodies  being  thrown  into the  riffing,  while  the  lead  guitars  are  very  primitive  sounding  guitar  solos  and  leads,  as  for  the  acoustic  guitars  they  are  only  used  on  the  last  song  and  they  use  finger  picking  to  enhance  the  darkness  that  is  coming  out  of  the  music.

  Vocals  are  all  high  pitched/noise  black  metal  screams  along  with  some  spoken  word  samples,  while  the  lyrics  are  a  concept  album  about  the  1983  tv  movie  "The  Day  After",  as  for  the  production  it  has  a  very  dark,  raw  and  primitive  sound  to  it  with  some  of  the  songs  being  long  and  epic  in  length.

  In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Enibilulagagal  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  primitive  black  metal  mixed  with  harsh  noise,  you  should  check  out  this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Beware  The  Lethal  Dust"  "Survival  Of  The  Fittest"  "20,000  Unburied  Corpses"  and  "As  Good  As  Dead".  RECOMMENDED  BUY.

  This  is  a  review of  a  split  album  between  California's  Enbilugugal  and Gnashing  Of  Teeth  called  "Rites  ov  The  Blakk  Goat  ov  The  Woods  with  a  Thousand  Young"  which  was  released  by  Dipsomaniac  Records  in  2012  and  we  will  start  of  the  review  with  Enbiligugal  a  band  that  plays  a very  raw  and  primitive  from  of  occult  black  metal/  noise.

  Drums  range  from  slow, mid  paced  to  fast  drumming  with  some  blast  beats  being  utilized  at  times,  while  the  bass  playing  has  a  very  dark  tone  with  primitive  riffing  that  dominates  throughout  the  recording,  as  for  the  sound  effects  they  bring  in  elements  of  harsh  power  electronics/noise.

  Rhythm  guitars  range  from  slow,  mid  paced  to  fast  black  metal  riffs  that  are  very  raw  and  primitive  sounding  along  with  some  heavy  distortion  that  brings  the  harsh  noise  elements  to to  music and  there  are  no  guitar  solos  or  leads  present  on t heir  side  of  the  recording.

  Vocals  are  all  high  pitched  black  metal/noise  screams,  while  the  lyrics  cover  Occultism  and  Necronomicon  themes,  as  for  the  production  it  has  a  very  dark,  noisy,  raw  and  primitive  sound  to  it.

  In  my  opinion  Enbilugugal  are  a  very  great  sounding  hybrid  of  harsh  noise  and  primitive  occult  black  metal  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  musical  genre,  you  should  check  out  their  side  of  the  recording.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Serpent  Goat  King"  and  "The  Doom  Within  A  Black  Mist".  RECOMMENDED.

  Next  up  is  Gnashing  Of  Teeth  another  band  that  plays  a  mixture  of  primitive  occult  black  metal  and  harsh  noise.

  Drums  range  from  slow  to  mid  paced  playing  with  some  fast  playing  and  blast  beats  being  present  on their  side  of  the  recording, while  the  sound  effects  bring  elements  of  harsh  noise  to  the  recording, as  for  the  bass  playing it  has  a  very  dark  tone  with  riffs  that  follow  the  riffing  that  are  coming  out  of  the  guitars.

  Vocals  are  mostly  high  pitched  black  metal/noise  screams  along  with  some  deep  demonic  growls  and  spoken  word  chanting,  while  the  lyrics  cover  Occultism  and  Necronomicon  themes,  as  for  the  production  it  has  a  very  dark,  raw  and  primitive  sound  to  it.

  In  my  opinion  Gnashing  Of  Teeth  are  a  very  great  sounding  hybrid  of  primitive  occult  black  metal  and  harsh  noise  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  musical  genre,  you  should  check  out  their  side  of  the recording.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Plague  Of  Human  Spirit"  and  "Admiring  The  Dark Endless.  RECOMMENDED.

  In  conclusion  I  feel  this  is  a  very  great  sounding  split  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  raw  and  primitive  sounding  black  metal  and  harsh  noise,  you  should  add this  album  to  your  collection.  RECOMMENDED  BUY.
