Aeonless are an international band that has had an album reviewed before in this zine and plays a mixture of black, doom, and heavy metal on tihs recording and this is a review of their self titled 2016 album which was released as a joint effort between Symbol Of Domination Productions and Acclaim Records.
Grim black metal screams along with heavy guitar riffing a few seconds later starts off the album and after awhile melodic guitar leads are added onto the recording and some of the riffing has a touch of RAC and you can also hear all of the musical instruments that are present on the recording and the riffs also use melodies at times.
Touches of doom and heavy metal can be heard at times and as the album progresses some of the slower riffing brings in a more depressive style while on one track the vocals get semi melodic without losing their rough edge while a later track brings in a few seconds of air raid sirens and all of the songs stick to a slow or mid paced musical direction while also always remaining heavy.
On this recording Aeonless move away from the more depressive and atmospheric style of their previous release and goes for a musical style that is more of a mixture of black, doom and heavy metal with a touch of RAC, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics are written in Bulgarian and cover war, misanthropy, society, and sorrow themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Aeonless and if yo are a fan of black metal with touches of doom and heavy metal, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Eurooppa" "Makaaberi" "Syytaja" and "Marmori". 8 out of 10.
