This is a review of a compilation from Netherlands's solo project Domini Inferni which shows the music going for a raw mixture of satanic black metal, death industrial and harsh noise and consists of his 2002 demo and previously unreleased material and the compilation was released in 2019 by Necromanteion and called "In Nomini Domini Inferni - The Second Coming".
Ritualistic soundscapes start off the compilation before going into a very fast, raw and brutal war metal direction which also utilizes a great amount of tremolo picking and blast b eats. Vocals are a mixture of high pitched black metal screams and bestial growls and the solos and leads are also done in a very chaotic style.
Choirs can also be heard briefly while some of the tracks also add in a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts. Harsh noises and power electronics are also added on some of the tracks along with the spoken word parts also enhancing the ritualistic side of the music when they are utilized.
Angry shouts can also be heard briefly along with a couple of the tracks also being very long and epic in length. All of the musical instruments on the compilation also have a very powerful sound to them as well as some songs also adding in a small amount of synths and there is also a cover of Von's "Venien". The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover Satanism, Rituals, Blasphemy, Perversion and the writings of H.P Lovecraft.
In my opinion this is a very great sounding collection from Domini Infernia and if you are a fan of raw satanic black metal, death industrial and harsh noise, you should check out this compilation. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "The Ineffable" "Baptised In The Fires Of Hell" "Cult Of Death" and "Desecration Ritual". 8 out of 10.
