Wrath Of The Weak/Persse/Luchtrat/2009 EP Review

Wrath Of The Weak where a 1 man band from New York that has one of their ep's reviewed in this zine with a musical style that mixes black metal with drone and noise and this is a review of their 2009 ep "Persse" which was released by Luchtrat.

Drums and bass guitar are absent from the music with the music all being done on guitars.

Rhythm guitars are all slow riffs that combine black metal with drone mixed in with alot of noisy distortion with a mixture of short and long songs and there are no lead guitars or solos present on this recording.

Vocals and song writing are all absent from this recording with the music being all instrumental as for the production it has a very dark, raw and primitive sound to it.

In my opinion this is another great recording from Wrath Of The Weak and if you are a fan of black metal/improv/noise/drone you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACK "Tomorrow Never Knows". RECOMMENDED BUY.

Wrath Of The Weak/Just A Momentary Diversion On The Road To The Grave/Earth Space Noise Research Laboratories/2007 EP Review

Wrath Of The Weak where a band from New York that played a very raw and primitive form of black metal mixed with noise and this is a review of their 2007 ep "Just A Momentary Diversion On The Road To The Grave" which was released by Earth Space Noise Research Laboratories.

Drums which are only used on the first song are all fast playing with a good amount of blast beats being thrown into the music, while the bass playing has a very dark tone with riffs that follow the riffing that is coming out of the guitars, as for the synths which are on the second song they bring a very dark ambient sound to the music.

Rhythm guitars are mostly fast raw and primitive sounding black metal riffs that are very long and repetitive mixed in with a lot of noisy distortion with the second song being all slow and drone type sounds and there are no guitar solos or leads present on this recording.

Vocals are heard to hear on this recording and they seem to be either growls or black metal screams, while the lyrics cover darkness, as for the production it has a very, dark, raw and primitive sound to it.

In my opinion Wrath Of The Weak are a very great sounding raw and primitive black metal/noise music hybrid and if you are a fan of this style, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACK "Brotherhood Of Destruction". RECOMMENDED BUY.
