Dragsholm Interview

1.Can you give us an update on what has been going on with the band since the recording of the new album?

1. Since the recording of the album we have been playing live locally and even already started working on new music.

2.In March you have your first full length coming out, musically how does it differ from the stuff you have released in the past?

2. The upcoming album has some songs we released previously but we changed some song structures and added new riffs as well to make them better. The new songs are a bit more technical too compared to older material.

3.A lot of your earlier lyrics covered Luciferian, pagan and Vampirism themes, can you tell us a little bit more about your interest in these topics?

3. I always had an interest in topics such as paganism, luciferianism. As a band the drummer and I consider our beliefs to be spiritual and pagan but I personally wanted the lyrics to be more on the horror side. I love old horror movies and writing music and lyrics with those movies as an influence just made me happier. I plan on exploring different topics in the future.

4.Lyrically you also cover horror films and gothic literature, which aspects of these genres do you bring out in your songwriting?

4. The aggressiveness and mystery I would say is what it brings out

5.Can you tell us a little bit more about the artwork that is presented on the new album cover?

5. The artwork was done by Khaos Diktator Design and we wanted an album cover of Vlad Tepes in the last supper.

6.Originally the band started out as a solo project, what was the decision behind expanding into a full line up?

6. The decision to expand to a full band was really that was always what I wanted. I just could not find the right people earlier so I just decided  to do everything myself until I could find the perfect fit.

7.What are some of the best shows that the band has played so far and also ho would you describe your stage performance?

7. Best shows would definitely be Delaware Terror Fest and playing in New York. Our live shows consist of studs, spikes, aggression and bullets

8.Do you have any touring or show plans once the new album is released?

8. We do have touring plans for the album. We will be heading to the south in June.

9.The new album is going to be released on 'Faithless Entertainment', can you tell us a little bit more about this label?

9. We are new to this label. We first came in contact with Paul at the Delaware Terror Fest and so far he has been great to us.

10.On a worldwide level how has the reaction been to your music by fans of black and death metal?

10. So far both fans of black metal and death metal have treated us well. I feel we are a perfect medium.

11.Where do you see the band heading into musically during the future?

11. We have been working on more melodic music this time around. We do like to change it up a bit but keep within the blackened death metal side

12.What are some of the bands or musical styles the band members are listening to nowadays?

12. I personally have been listening to a lot of Archgoat, Beherit and Bestial Warlust but we all listen to a lot of different bands such as Suffocation, Hate Eternal, Dissection, Mortal Decay, Type O Negative and Gorgoroth.

13.Before we wrap up this interview, do you have any final words or thoughts?

13. Check out the album and see us live if you dare.

Dragsholm/The Bloodlines Of Bram/Faithless Entertainment/2026 Full Length Review

Dragsholm  are  a  band  from  New  Jersey  that  plays  an  aggressive  mixture  of  black  and  death  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2026  album  "The  Bloodlines  Of  Bram"  which  will  be  released  in  March  by  Faithless  Entertainment.

A  very  fast,  brutal  and  melodic  sound  starts  off  the  album  along  with  a  great  amount  of  blast  beats.  Vocals  are  a  mixture  of  black  metal  screams  and  death  metal  growls  while  the  songs  also  add  in  a  good  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts.  all  of  the  musical  instruments  also  have  a  very  powerful  sound  to  them.

When  tremolo  picking  is  added  into  the  fast  riffing  they  also  give  the  music  more  of  a  raw  feeling  while  the  songs  also  add  in  a  good  mixture  of  both  modern  and  old  school  influences.  All  of  the  tracks  also  avoid  the  use  of  any  solos  and  leads  to  focus  more  on  heavier  riffing  and  one  track  also  adds  in  a  brief  use  of  horror  movie  samples.

Dragsholm  plays  a  musical  style  that  takes  black  and  death  metal  and  mixes  them  together  to  create  a  sound  of  their  own.  The  production  sounds  very  professional  while  the  lyrics  cover  horror  movies  and  gothic  literature.

In  my  opinion  Dragsholm  are  a  very  great  sounding  mixture  of  black  and  death  metal  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  those  musical  genes,  you  should  check  out  this  band.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Irinas  Heart"  "A  Kingdom  In  The  Land  Of  Shadows"  and  "Thorns  For  Mina".  8  out  of  10.
