A very dark yet heavy sound starts off the ep while the riffs also add in a great amount of melody and the vocals are mostly angry sounding black metal screams. At times the music also captures a very medieval atmosphere and when the music speeds up a great amount of blast beats can be heard.
When tremolo picking is added into the fast riffing they also give the music more of a raw feeling while the ep also adds in a good mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts. When guitar solos and leads are utilized they are also done in a very melodic style and one track also adds in a brief use of clear singing.
Hardiesse plays a style of black metal that is very aggressive, melodic and medieval and epic sounding. The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics are written in French and cover medieval themes.
In my opinion Hardiesse are a very great sounding medieval black metal duo and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Audace" and "Sentinelle". 8 out of 10.
