Clean playing starts off the ep before going into a very fast and raw musical direction which also utilizes a great amount of tremolo picking and blast beats. Elements of doom metal are also added into the slower sections of the recording while the vocals are a mixture of growls and high pitched black metal screams
Most of the tracks are also very long and epic in length while the riffs also add in a great amount of melody. Throughout the recording you can also hear a good mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts along with the music also having its atmospheric moments, one track also adds in a brief use of clear vocals.
Bruul plays a musical style that takes a very modern and atmospheric form of black metal and mixes it with doom metal to create a sound of their own. The production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover dark and melancholic themes.
In my opinion Bruul are a very great sounding atmospheric mixture of black and doom metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Gates Of Silence" and "Blessed Is The Flame". 8 out of 10.
