Pestverseuchung/Live Thuringia/Wolfmond Production/2026 Live Album Review

Pestverseuchung  are  a  band  from  Germany  that  plays  a  very  raw  and  old  school  form  of  black  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  live  album  "Live  Thuringia"  which  will  be  released  by  Wolfmond  Production.

Live  audience  reaction  starts  off  the  album  before  going  into  a  heavier  direction  while  all  of  the  musical  instruments  also h ave  a  very  powerful  sound  to  them.  Vocals  are  mostly  high  pitched  black  metal  screams  along  with  the  music  also  being  very  heavily  rooted  in  the  90's  era  of  the  genre.

When  the  music  speeds  up  a  great  amount  of  tremolo  picking  and  blast  beats  can  be  heard  which  also  gives  the  recording  more  of  a  raw  feeling.  Throughout  the  album  you  can  also  hear  a  good  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts,  most  of  the  riffing  is  also  done  on  power  chords  and  the  whole  album  also  sticks  to  a  heavier  direction.

Pestverseuchung  plays  a  style  of  black  metal  that  is  very  fast  and  raw  in  the  90's  tradition.  The  production  sounds  very  dark  and  raw  while  the  lyrics  are  written  in  German  and  cover  Satanism,  Anti  Christianity,  Pestilence,  Disease  and  Decay.

In  my  opinion  Pestverseuchung  are  a  very  great  sounding  raw  and  old  school  black  metal  band  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  musical  genre,  you  should  check  out  this  live  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Nacht  der  Pest"  "Christus  auf  der  Schlachtbank"  "Scharfrichter"  and  "Satan's  Macht".  8  out  of  10.
