Embrace Of Thorns/Invocation/Invoking The Noumen/Crushing The Feeble Messianic Embrace/Iron Bonehead Productions/2026 Split Album Review

This  is  a  review  of  a  split  album  between  Greece's  Embrace  Of  Thorns  and  Chile's  Invocation  called  "Invoking  The  Noumen/Crushing  The  Feeble  Messianic  Embrace"  which  will  be  released  on  October  30th  by  Iron  Bonehead  Productions  and  we  will  start  off  the  review  with  Embrace  Of  Thorns  who  return  with  a  bestial  mixture  of  war,  black  and  death  metal.

Their  side  of  the  split  starts  out  with  A  very  dark,  heavy  and  brutal  sound  while  you  can  also  hear  all  of  the  musical  instruments  present  on  their  side  of  the  recording.  Vocals  are  a  mixture  of  bestial  growls  and  black  metal  screams  while  the  faster  sections  of  the  songs  also  add  in a   lot  of  blast  beats  and  war  metal  elements.

Throughout  their  side  of  the  recording  you  can  also  hear  a  good  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts.  Spoken  words  can  also  be  heard  at  times  along  some  of  the  riffing  also  adding  in  a  good  amount  of  melody,  when  tremolo  picking  is  added  into  the  fast  riffs  it  also  gives  the  music  more  of  a  raw  feeling  and  synths  are  added  towards  the  end.  The  production  sounds  very  dark  and  raw while  the  lyrics  cover  Occultism  and  Darkness  themes.

In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Embrace  of  Thorns  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  war  and  bestial  black/death  metal,  you  should  check  out  their  side  of  the  split.  RECOMMENDED  TRACK  "Destroyer  of  All  maladies".

Next  up  is  Invocation  who  return  with  a  ritualistic  mixture  of  black  and  death  metal.

Their  side  of  the  split  starts  out  with  a  very  dark  yet  heavy  sound  while  you  can  also  hear  all  of  the  musical  instruments  present  on  their  side  of  the  recording.  Vocals  are  a  mixture  of  black  metal  screams  and  death  metal growls  and  when  the  music  speeds  up  a  great  amount  of  blast  beats  can  be  heard.

Dark  sounding  melodies  are  also  added  into  some  of  the  guitar  riffing  along  with  some  whispered  vocals  being  used  briefly.  Throughout  their  side  of  the  recording  you  can  also  hear  a  good  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts,  when  tremolo  picking  is  added  into  the  faster  riffing  they  also  give  the  music  more  of  a  raw  feeling.  The  production  sounds  very  dark  and  raw  while  the  lyrics  cover  Witchcraft,  Spiritualism  and  Rituals.

In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Invocation  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  ritualistic  black  and  death  metal,  you  should  check  out  their  side  of  the  split.  RECOMMENDED  TRACK  "The  Shattered  Torch".

In  conclusion  I  feel  this  is  a  very  great  sounding  split  and  I  would  recommend  it  to  all  fans  of  war,  black  and  death  emtal.  8 out  of  10.
