1. For those who have never heard of you before, can you tell us a little bit about the solo project?
Eye Of Moth is an instrumental music project that focuses on experimentation and blending different genres with black metal.
2. So far, you have released an EP. Can you tell us a little bit more about the musical style you went for on the recording?
I went for a style that combines post-black metal, shoegaze, and doom metal. I wanted to combine the heaviness of riffs played on an eight-string guitar with ethereal sound passages.
3. So far, all of your music has been instrumental. Are you open to using vocals on future releases?
I'm definitely considering vocals for future releases, as I think they could add an interesting new dimension to my music. For now, however, I'm focusing on instrumental compositions.
4. What is the meaning and inspiration behind the name 'Eye Of Moth'?
My main sources of inspiration are nature and its laws, melancholy, and spiritualism. The name represents the eyes on the wings of moths. These creatures are vulnerable, yet the eyes on their wings make them appear larger and more intimidating. To me, this is a fascinating metaphor for life.
5. You have Baphomet on the EP cover. Do you have an interest in occultism?
Yes, I'm interested in occultism and spiritualism, as well as the connections between belief systems and nature.
6. With this project, you record everything by yourself. Are you open to working with other musicians, or do you prefer to work solo?
Yes, I'm open to collaborating with other musicians who share a similar musical style and vision.
7. So far, very little is known about the musical project. Do you prefer to keep a lower profile?
Yes, I believe that maintaining a sense of mystery can spark curiosity among listeners.
8. Currently, you're unsigned. Are you looking for a label, or have you received any interest?
I haven't received any offers so far, and for now, I want to remain independent.
9. On a worldwide level, how has the reaction been to your music from fans of black metal?
Some listeners are open to this kind of experimental sound, while others prefer what they consider to be "true black metal." So far, the reactions have been mixed.
10. When can we expect a full-length album, and where do you see yourself heading as a musician in the future?
I think a full-length album will be coming soon. I'm putting a lot of heart and dedication into this project, and I'm really committed to developing it further.
11. What are some of the bands or musical styles that have influenced your music, and what are you listening to nowadays?
I mainly listen to progressive metal. Bands such as Opeth, Alcest, and Agalloch have had the greatest influence on the compositions of Eye Of Moth.
12. Before we wrap up this interview, do you have any final words or thoughts?
Don't fly towards the candle, or you'll burn yourself. Instead, set your course for the moon, like moths lost in the darkness
Thank you for a interview
