Alasthor/Flesh Apart, Mind Inside/Chapitre XIII/2026 Full Length Review

Belgium's  Alasthor  have  returned  with  a  new  recording  which  shows  the  music  going  for  an  atmospheric  mixture  of  occult  black  and  thrash  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2026  album  "Flesh  Apart,  Mid  Inside"  which  will  be  released  on  October  23rd  by  Chapitre  XIII.

A  very  dark  yet  heavy  sound  starts  off  the  album before  going  into  a  very  fast  and  raw  musical  direction  which  also  utilizes  a  great  amount  of  tremolo  picking  and  blast  beats.  Vocals  are  mostly  angry  sounding  black  metal  screams  while  the  music  also  adds  in  a  lot  of  thrash  emtal  elements  and  the  riffs  also  add  in a   lot  of  meldoy.

At  times  the  music  also  captures  the  raw  energy  of  crust  punk  while  the  album  also  adds  in a  good  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts.  All  of  the  musical  instruments  also  have  a  very  powerful  sound  to  them  along  with  the  solos  and  leads  also  being  done  in  a  very  melodic  style  when  they  are  utilized  as  well  as  the  recording  also  having  its  atmospheric  moments  and  tthe  songs  also  mix  in  a  lot  of  old  school  touches.

On  this  recording  Alasthor  bring  out  a  very  atmospheric  and  melodic  style  of  occult  black  metal  as w ell  as  adding  in  some  elements  of  thrash  metal  and  crust  punk  to  create  a  very  aggressive  sounding  album.  The  production  sounds  very  professional  while  the  lyrics  cover  Left  Hand  Path, Occultism ,  Aghora  and  Draconic  Magick.

In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Alasthor  and  if  you  are  of  a  fan  atmospheric  occult  black  and  thrash  metal,  you  should  check  out  this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Wormhole"  and  "Divine  Limited  Flesh".  8/5  out  of  10.
