Loputon Suo are a band from Finland that plays a very dark, raw and melodic form of black metal and this is a review of their self titled and self released 2015 demo.
A very raw and lo-fi old school black metal sound starts off the demo along with some blast beats and few seconds later growling vocals are added into the music giving the tracks a touch of death metal and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts along with a small amount of high pitched screams.
Elements of dark metal can be heard in the bands musical style and when solos and leads are utilized they give the songs more of a melodic edge and you can also hear some melodies being utilized in the guitar riffing and the music is perfectly balanced between the 90's second wave and early 2000's styles of black metal and on the last track that vocals start getting more diverse.
Loputon Solo plays a style of black metal that is very raw, melodic, old school and dark sounding and also adds in death metal style vocals to make their style stand out a bit more, the production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics are written in Finnish and cover dark themes.
In my opinion Loputon Solo are a very great sounding dark, raw and melodic black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this demo. RECOMMENDED TRACK "Deus Delirium". 8 out of 10.
