  Cuba's  solo  project  Skjult  has  returned  with  a  new  recording  which  shows  the  music  going  for  a  more  of  a    raw  and  melodic  form  of  black  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  his  2026  album  "A  Perfect  Devouring  Light"  which  was  released  as  a  joint  effort  between  Satanath  and  The  End  of  Time  Records.

  A  very  fast  and  raw  sound  starts  off  the  album  along  with  a  great  amount  of  tremolo  picking  and  blast  beats.  Vocals  are  mostly  high  pitched  black  metal  screams  while  the  music  is  also  very  heavily  rooted  in  the  old  school  era  of  the  genre  and  the  riffs  also  adding  in  a  decent  amount  of  melody.

  When  guitar  solos  and  leads  are  utilized  they  are  also  done  in  a  very  melodic  style  while  the  songs  also  add  in  a  good  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts.  The  album  also  adds  in  a  lot  o  modern  touches  along  with  some  of  the  tracks  also  being  very  long  and  epic  in  length,  spoken  words  and  shouts  can  also  be  on  a  few  songs   and  the  whole  album  sticks  to  a  heavier  direction.

  On  this  recording  Skjult  brings  out  a  very  aggressive,  raw  and  melodic  style  of  black  metal.  The  production  sounds  very  professional  while  the  lyrics  cover  death,  darkness,  light,  visions  and  occultism  themes.     

  In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  album  from  Skjult  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  raw  and  melodic  black  metal,  you  should  check  out  this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Antagonist  Am  I"  "The  Light  Within  The  Darkness"  and  "Esu".  8  out  of  10.

Ambrotos/Atrocious Chants/Satanath Records/WP Productions/2026 Full Lenghth Review

    Greece's  Ambrotos  have  returned  with  a  new  recording  which  shows  the  music  going  for  a philosophical  and  satanic  form  of  black  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2026  album  "Atrocious  Chants"  which  was  released  as  a  joint  effort  between  Satanath  Records  and  WP  Productions.

  Choirs  and  medieval  battle  sounds  start  off  the  album  before  going  into  a  very  fast  and  raw  musical  direction  which  also  utilizes a   great  amount  of  tremolo  picking  and  blast b eats.  Vocals  are  a  mixture  of  growls  and  black  metal  screams  and  all  of  the  musical  instruments  also  have  a very  powerful  sound  to  them.

   Throughout  the  album  you  can  also  hear  a  good  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  while  the  riffs  also  add  in  a  decent  amount  of  melody.  When  guitar  solos  and  leads  are  utilized  they  also  add  in  more  of  an  old  school  style  along  with  some  tracks  also  adding  in  a  small  amount  of  synths  which  also  gives  the  recording  more  of  an  avant  garde  touch.

  Clean  playing  can  also  be  heard  on  a  few  songs  along  with  some  tracks  also  adding  in  a  small  amount  of  spoken  word  samples  and  the  closing  track  is  also  very  long  and  epic  in  length.  The  production  sounds  very  professional  while  the  lyrics  are  a  concept  album  which  covers  the  figure  of  Satan  through  the  lens  of  medieval  Christian  references.

  In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Ambrotos  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  philosophical  and  satanic  black  metal,  you  should  check  out  this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Thy  Messengers"  "Horned  Gods"  and "Satan  Triumphant".  8  out  of  10.

  Mizoteist  are  a  band  from  Russia  that  plays  an  atmospheric  and  epic  mixture  of  black  and  death  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2026  album  "In  the  Primordial  Flame"  which  was  released  as  a  joint  effort  between  Satanath  Records,  Ax  and  More  Hate  Productions.

  Clean  playing  starts off  the  album  before  going  into  a  very  fast,  raw  and  brutal  direction  which  also  utilizes  a  great  amount  of  tremolo  picking  and  blast b eats.  Vocals  are  a  mixture  of  death  metal  growls  and  black  metal  screams  while  the  riffs  also  add  in a  lot  of  melody  and  the  recording  also  has  its  atmospheric  moments.

  Throughout  the  album  you  can  also  hear  a  good  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  while  some  of  the  tracks  are  also  long  and  epic  in  length.  When  guitar  solos  and  leads  are  utilized  they  are  also  done  in  a  very  melodic  style  along  with  the  music  also  adding  a  more  modern  approach  to  the  genre,  clean  playing  can  also  be  heard  briefly  and  they  also  bring  in  a  Lower  cover  which  also  shows  influences  of  thrash  metal.   

  Mizoteist  plays  a  musical  style  that takes  an  atmospheric  and  epic  form  of  black  metal  and  mixes  it  with  the  brutality  of  death  metal  to  create  a  sound  of  their  own.  the  production  sounds  very  professional  while  the  lyrics  cover  Occultism,  Mysticism  and  Philosophical  themes.

  In  my  opinion  Mizoteist  are  a  very  great  sounding  atmospheric  and  epic  mixture  of  black  and  death  metal  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  those  musical  genres,  you  should  check  out  this  band.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "The  Gold  Blackened-Plague"  "In  The  Primordial  Flame"  and  "Cast  Down".  8  out  of  10.

  United  Kingdom's  Arrogant  Destruktor  have  returned  with  a  new  recording  which  shows  the  music  going  for  a  raw  and  old  school  form  of  black  metal  with  elements  of  thrash  and  classic  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2026  "the  Old  Spirit  Remains" which  was  released  as  a  joint  effort  between  Satanath  and  the  End  Of  Time  Records.

   A  very  dark  and  heavy  sound  starts  off  the  album  while  the  vocals  are  mostly  high  pitched  black  metal  screams.  Elements  of  thrash  and  traditional  metal  are  also  added  into  some  of  the  guitar  riffing  along  with  the  music  also  being  very  heavily  rooted  in  the  old  school  era  of  the  genre  and  blast  beats  are  added  into  the  faster  sections  of  the  songs.

  When  tremolo  picking  is  added  into  the  fast  riffing  they  give  the  music  more  of  as  raw  feeling  while  the  solos  and  leads  stick  to  more  of  a  classic  black  metal  tradition  and  also  have  their  melodic  moments.  Throughout  the  album  you  can  also  hear  a  good  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  along  with  all  of  the  musical  instruments  also  having  a  very  powerful  sound  to t hem,  synths  can  also be  heard  on  a  few  tracks.

  On  this  recording  Arrogant  Destruktor  continue  the  raw  and  old  school  style  of  black  metal  from  previous  releases  as  well  as  adding  in  elements  of  thrash  and  traditional  metal  to  create  something  very  different.  The  production  sounds  very  raw  and  heavy  while  the  lyrics  cover  Fantasy,  Mythical  and  Celestial  themes.

  In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Arrogant  Destruktor  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  raw  and  old  school  black  metal  with  elements  of  thrash  and  traditional  metal,  you  should  check  out  this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Total  Manical  War!"  "Tue  Domination"  and  "Frost  Eternal".  8  out  of  10.

  Khara  Ojuun  are  an  international  duo  with  members  from  Germany  and  Russia  that  plays  a  shamanic  form  of  black  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2026  ep  "Shamanic  Visions"  which  was  released  as  a  joint  effort  between  Satanath  and  The  End  Of  Time  Records.

  Spoken  words  start  off  the  ep  b3efore  going  into  a  heavier  direction  while  also  introducing  folk  instruments  onto  the  recording.  Vocals  are  mostly  high  pitched  black  metal  screams  along  with  the  faster  sections  of  the  songs  also  adding  in a   great  amount  of  tremolo  picking  and b last b eats  which  also  gives  the  music  more  of  a  raw  feeling.

  Throughout  the  recording  you  can  also  hear  a  good  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  while  all  of  the  musical  instruments  also have  a  very  powerful  sound  to  them.  Melodies  are  also  added  into  some  of  the  guitar  riffing  along with  the  music  also  having  its  atmospheric  moments,  when  throat  singing  is  utilized  they  also  give  the  ep  more  of  a  shamanistic  atmosphere.

  Kjara  Ojuun  plays  a  style  of  black  metal  that  is  very  atmospheric,  ritualistic  and  shamanistic  sounding  with  some  elements  of  folk  music.  The  production  sounds  very  dark  and  raw  while  the  lyrics  are  written  in  the  Sakha  language  and  cover  the  harsh  winters  of  Siberia,  nature,  spirits  and  other  worlds.   

  In  my  opinion  Kjara  ojuun  are  a  very  great  sounding  shamanic  black  metal  duo  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  musical  genre,  you  should  check  out  this  ep.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Burning  Cold"  and  "Road  To  The  Moon".  8  out  of  10.

  A  very  dark, heavy  and  brutal  sound  starts  off  the  album  while  the  faster  sections  of  the  songs  also  add  in  a  great  amount  of  tremolo  picking  and  blast  beats  which  also  gives  the  music  more  of  a  raw  feeling.  Vocals  are  a  mixture  of  black  metal  screams  and  death  metal  growls  and  melodies  are  also  added  into  some  of  the  guitar  riffing.\

  Throughout  the  album  you  can  also  hear  a  good  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  while  the  solos  and  leads  are  also  done  in  a  very  chaotic  yet  melodic  style.  The  music  also  adds  in a  mixture  of  both  old  school  and  modern  influences  along  with  one  track  also  adding  in  a  brief  use  of  ritualistic  spoken  word  samples  and  one  song  also  adds  in  a  small  amount  of  clear  singing.
