Aetherium Mors are a band from the U.K that plays a very fast and aggressive form of black metal with death metal influences and this is a review of their 2012 album "Drenched In Victorious Blood".
Drums range from slow, mid paced to fast drumming with some blast beats being utilized at times, while the bass playing has a very dark tone with riffs that follow the riffing that is coming out of the guitars.
Rhythm guitars range from slow, mid paced to fast black metal riffs that are very heavy and aggressive sounding with a good amount of death metal influences and dark sounding melodies being thrown into the riffing as well as a brief use of clean playing, while the lead guitars are very melodic sounding black/death metal guitar solos and leads, as for the classical guitars when they are utilized on the last song they use finger picking and full chords to enhance the darkness that is coming out of the music.
Vocals are mostly grim sounding and high pitched black metal screams along with a brief use of deep death metal vocals, while the lyrics cover Occultism, Luciferian, Darkness, and Anti Christian themes, as for the production it has a very strong, powerful and heavy sound for being a self released recording.
In my opinion Aetherium Mors are a very great sounding black metal band with death metal and melodic edge and if you are a fan of this musical style, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Luciferian March" "The Fall Of God" and "Annihilating Fire". RECOMMENDED BUY.
