This is a review of a self released split album between Czechia's solo projects Mrakomor and Nebetemn called "Nebe Za Mraky Hvězdy Ukrývá" and we will start off the review with Mrakomor who returns with his depressive and suicidal style of black metal.
His side of the split starts out with some clean playing before going into a heavier direction while the vocals are mostly high pitched depressive black metal screams. When guitar solos and leads are utilized they are also done in a very distorted style, keyboards are added on the closing track and all of the music sticks to a slower direction. The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover melancholy and sadness themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Mrakomor and if you are a fan of depressive and suicidal black metal, you should check out his side of the split. RECOMMENDED TRACK "The Sky Closed Over Osrtrava".
Next up is Nebetemn a solo project t hat plays a very depressive and suicidal form of black emtal with elements of ambient.
His side of the split starts out with some acoustic guitars before adding in some ambient style synths and an instrumental, Most of his tracks are also very long and epic in length along with some depressive black metal screams, drum b eats and clean playing also being added on the closing track which also adds in more of a heavier style done in a different way. The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover sadness and melancholy themes.
In my opinion Nebetemn are a very great sounding depressive and suicidal ambient black emtal solo project and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out his side of the split. RECOMMENDED TRACK "The Vigilance Of Human Desires".
In conclusion I feel this is a very great sounding split and I would recommend it to all fans of depressive black metal. 8 out of 10.
