Fullmoon Night Ritual are a duo from Poland that plays a very satanic form of black metal and this is a review of their 2019 demo "Cold Breath Of Winter" which was released by Morbid Chapel Records.
A very dark and ritualistic sounding intro starts off the demo before going into a heavier direction while the vocals are mostly grim sounding black metal screams. Most of the music is also very heavily rooted in the 90's second wave era and when the music speeds up a great amount of blast beats can be heard.
When tremolo picking is utilized it also gives the songs more of a raw feeling while a couple of the tracks are very long and epic in length. All of the musical instruments also have a very powerful sound to them along with the songs also adding in a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts, one track also adds in a small amount of field recordings and dark soundscapes before returning back to a heavier direction and as the demo progresses a brief use of melody can also be heard, synths are also added on the outro.
Fullmoon Ritual plays a style of satanic black metal that is very heavily rooted in the early 90's second wave tradition. The production sounds very dark, raw and old school while the lyrics cover Winter, Hatred and Satanism themes.
In my opinion Fullmoon Night Ritual are a very great sounding old school satanic black metal duo and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this recording. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "The Ritual" and "Mystery Of False Salvation". 8 out of 10.
