Greece's Adventum Diaboli have returned with a new recording which is also done in a depressive style of black metal and this is a review of their self released 2018 album "Blackheart".
Clean playing starts off the album along with some programmed beats and melodic yet atmospheric guitar leads while the vocals are mostly depressive black metal screams as well as the riffs also bringing in a great amount of melody and they also bring in a few instrumental tracks.
A great amount of depressive melodies can also be heard in the guitar riffing while keyboards when they are utilized bring in elements of ambient onto the recording along with some songs also bringing in acoustic guitars, all of the music sticks to either a slow or mid paced direction and they close the album with a cover of Nocturnal Depression's "Her Ghost Haunts These Walls".
Adventum Diaboli continue the depressive style of black metal that was on their previous release, the production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover depressive and suicidal themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding album from Adventum Diaboli and if you are a fan o depressive black metal, you should check out this recording. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Humans Is The Plague And Suicide Is The Cure" "A Kiss In The Snow" "Everybody Dies Alone And Forgotten" and "A Hanging Corpse In The Forest". 8 out of 10.
