Sprenkopf are a band from Singapore that plays a very satanic form of black metal and this is a review of their self titled and self released 2022 album.
Air raid sirens start off the album before going into a very fast and raw musical direction which also utilizes a great amount of tremolo picking and blast beats. Vocals are mostly angry sounding black metal screams while the guitar solos and leads are also done in a very melodic yet chaotic style.
Throughout the recording you can also hear a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts while the music also brings in more of an old school style mixed in with a more modern brutality. A small amount of dark sounding melodies can also be heard in the guitar riffing at times as well as some of the riffs also mixing in influences from death and thrash metal, a couple of tracks also introduces clean playing onto the recording and spoken word samples are also added on the closing song.
Sprenkopf plays a style of satanic black metal that is very fast aggressive and traditional sounding. The production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover a post apocalyptic world in Satan's rule.
In my opinion Sprenkopf are a very great sounding satanic black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this recording. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "The Time of The End We Embrace" "We, The Rotten" and "Hellfire, i Become". 8 out of 10.
