Cryfemal are a solo project from Spain that plays a very raw and satanic form of black metal and this is a review of his 2009 album "Increibles Tormentos" which was re-issued in 2016 as a joint effort between Mercenary Musik and Symbolic Art Productions.
A very dark yet heavy black metal sound starts off the album along with some high pitched screams a few seconds later and the music also brings in a great amount of blast beats and during the faster sections of the songs the riffs use a great amount of tremolo picking which also gives the songs more of a raw feeling.
Throughout t he recording you can hear a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts while synths can also be heard in certain sections of the recording which also gives the music more of an atmospheric touch and the riffs also bring in a decent amount of melody and the music also has a lot of 90's second wave influences while also having a very modern sound for 2009.
All of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them and on the last couple of tracks the vocals starts utilizing more of a depressive tone and both of the closing songs are bonus tracks along with one of them being very long and epic in length while also having a different style of production.
Cryfemal plays a style of black metal that is mostly raw, heavy and aggressive while also having their atmospheric moments, the production sounds very raw yet powerful at the same time while the lyrics are written in Spanish and cover Satanism, Occultism, Anti Christianity, Blasphemous and Death themes.
In my opinion Cryfemal are a very great sounding raw and atmospheric satanic black metal solo project and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this re-issue. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Delirio Funerario" "Horrible & Violenta Demolicion" Negro Metal" and "Barranco de Badajoz". 8 out of 10.
