Mortespermia are a solo project from Brazil that plays a very raw and perverse form of black metal and this is a review of his 2016 demo "Negativizmo Ritval, Flevma & ExXxkrementoz" which was released by Depressive Illusions.
A very dark and depressive sound starts off the demo along with some drum beats in the background and when the music speeds up a decent amount of tremolo picking and blast beats can be heard which also gives the music more of a raw feeling while the vocals are grim sounding black metal s creams that also get deep at times.
Melodies can be heard in some of the guitar riffing and there is also a small amount of guitar leads and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts while the main focus is on slow riffing and all of the songs have a very lo-fi atmosphere to them while also keeping everything in a heavy and raw musical direction.
Mortespermia plays a style of black metal that is very dark, raw, depressive and lo-fi sounding, the production sounds very raw and old school while the lyrics are written in the songwriters native tongue and covers dark and depressive themes.
In my opinion Mortespermia are a very great sounding raw and perverse black metal solo project and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this demo. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "O Terror Criado Entre Suas Pernas" and "Eztrela Nevtron cccxxxiii". 8 out of 10.
