Alldrig where a solo project from Argentina that played a very depressive and atmospheric form of post black metal and this is a review of his 2015 album "Uncontrolled Dreams Of Exploding Skies" which was released by GS Productions.
Rain and thunder sounds start off the album along with some tragic sounding keyboards a few seconds later while the solos and leads are done in a very melodic and depressive style which also mixes in with the heavier sections of the songs at times as w ell as the tremolo picking giving the songs a more raw feeling.
Clean playing can also be heard at times while spoken word parts are also added into certain sections of the recording along with the vocals being mostly high pitched depressive black metal screams as well as some of the tracks being very long and epic in length and as the album progresses acoustic guitars can also be heard briefly and a couple song also brings in clean vocals, when the music finally speeds up a small amount of blast beats can be heard and the album closes with a cover of Lifelover's "Cancertid".
Alldrig played a style of depressive post black metal that is very slow and atmospheric sounding, the production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover depression, life experiences, drugs and misery themes.
In my opinion Alldrig where a very great sounding atmospheric and depressive black metal solo project and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Dysthmia" and "Somewhere Along Our Lives". 8 out of 10.
