This is a review of another recording from Sarcofago with the music going into more of a blackened thrash metal direction and the album was originaly released in 1996 and called "The Worst" with the re-issue coming out in August and vinyl and cassette by Greyhaze Records.
Synths and clean playing start off the album before going into a heavier direction while a couple of tracks being very long and epic in length along with the vocals being mostly grim black metal screams as well as mixing the synths into the heavier sections of the songs at times.
All of the drum beats are programmed while the riffs bring in elements of thrash and groove metal along with the riffs also adding in some melody, spoken word parts can also be heard briefly as well as the music also having its fast moments and when guitar solos and leads are utilized they are done in more of an early 90's extreme metal style and as the album progresses the vocals start adding in more of a thrash style.
On this recording Sarcofago only kept a little bit of the black metal style from earlier releases while adding in more 90's era thrash and groove metal elements to create an album that was very different from what they have done before in the past, the production sounds very raw and heavy while the lyrics cover Satanism, Death, Lust and anti grunge themes.
In my opinion this was a very decent sounding recording from Sarcofago and while i can see it disappoint a lot of people but if you are a fan of blackened thrash metal, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "The Worst" "Plunged In Blood" and "Shave your heads". 7 out of 10.
