Seer Of Gallows are a solo project from Sweden that plays an aggressive mixture of black and death metal and this is a review of his 2021 album "Entropy Of Holocene" which was released by Iron, Blood And Death Corporation.
A very dark sounding intro starts off the album along with some heavier riffing a few seconds later along with some dark sounding melodies also being added into some of riffs. When the music speeds up a decent amount of blast beats can be heard and the vocals are mostly death metal growls with some black metal screams
When tremolo picking is utilized it also gives the songs more of a raw feeling while the tracks also add in a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts. One song also introduces clean playing onto the album along with the music also adding in a good mixture of both old school and modern influences as well as the guitar leads also being done in a very dark yet melodic style when they are utilized.
Seer of Gallows plays a musical style that takes black and death metal and mixes them together to create a sound of his own. The production sounds very raw and heavy while the lyrics cover dark themes.
In my opinion Seer Of Gallows are a very aggressive sounding mixture of black and death metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this solo project. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Our Kingdom Will Come" "Portals Of Hunger" and "Entropy Of Holocene". 8 out of 10.
