Israel/Germany's Har have returned with a new recording which shows the music going for an evil mixture of black and death metal and this is a review of their 2023 album "Cursed Creation" which will be released on August 23rd by Dark Descent Records.
Distorted soundscapes start off the album before going into a very fast and brutal direction which also utilizes a great amount of tremolo picking and blast beats. Vocals are a mixture of death metal growls and black metal screams while the riffs also add in a lot of melody and the solos and leads are also done in a very chaotic style.
Throughout the recording you can also hear a good mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts while the tremolo picking in the faster riffing also gives the songs more of a r aw feeling. The album also has its dissonant moments along with the music also mixing in both modern and old school elements, one song is also an instrumental and all of the tracks also stick to a heavier direction.
On this recording Har goes for a very modern and chaotic mixture of black and death metal. The production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover Occultism, Darkness and Evil themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Har and if you are a fan of black and death metal, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Invoking Evil Spirit" "Poisonous Entity" and "Metaphysical Stench". 8 out of 10.
