  Poland's  solo  project  Temple  of  Decay  has  returned  with  a  new  recording  which  shows  the  music  going  for  an  old  school  mixture  of  black  and  death  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  his  2026  album  "Profanus"  which  was  released  by  Old  Temple.

  War  samples  start  off  the  album  before  going  into  a  heavier  direction  while  the  vocals  also  add  in  a  lot  of  high  pitched  black  metal  screams.  Some  of  the  tracks  are  also  very  long  and  epic  in  length  along  with  some  melodies  also  being  added  into  the  guitar  riffing  at  times  and  all  of  the  musical  instruments  also  have  a  very  powerful  sound  to  them.

  When  the  music  speeds  up  a  great  amount  of  tremolo  picking  and  blast b eats  can  be  heard  which  also  gives  the  recording  more  of  a  raw  feeling,.  Spoken  words  can  also  be  heard  on  a  few  tracks  along  with  the  music  also  being  very  heavily  rooted  in  the  old  school  era  of  the  genre,  synths  are  also  introduced  on  one  song  

    The  album  also  adds  in  a  great  amount  of  death  metal  elements  as  well  as  adding  in  a  few  growls  and  a  couple  of  songs  also  brings  in  a  small  amount  of  Gregorian  chants  and  clear  singing..  The  production  sounds  very  dark  and  raw  while  the  lyrics  are  written  in  Polish  and  cover  Anti  Religion,  Blasphemy  and  Death  themes.

  Blood  Countess  are  a  band  from  the  United  Kingdom  that  plays  an  old  school  form  of  black  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2026  album  "Imperatrix  Sanguinis"  which  will  be  released  in  April  by  Dominance  Of  Darkness.

  Dark  soundscapes  start  off  the  album  before  going  into  a  very  fast  and  raw  musical  direction  which  also  utilizes  a  great  amount  of  tremolo  picking  and  blast  beats.  Vocals  are  mostly  high  pitched  black  metal  screams  while  the  riffs  also  add  in  a  lot  of  melody  and  the  music  is  very  heavily  rooted  in  the  mid  90's  era  of  the  genre.

  Throughout  the  album  you  can  also  hear  a  good  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  while  all  of  the  musical  instruments  also  have  a  very  powerful  sound  to  them.  When  guitar  solos  and  leads  are  utilized  they  also  remain  true  to  an  old  school  style  as  well  as  having  their  melodic  moments,  synths  can  also  be  heard  briefly  and  one  of  the  tracks  is  also  long  and  epic  in  length.

  Blood  Countess  plays  a  style  of  black  metal  that  is  very  fast  and  aggressive  in  the  mid  90's  tradition.  The  production  sounds  very  old  school  while  the  lyrics  cover  Elizabeth  Bathory's  reign  of  blood  soaked  tyranny.

  Tarask  are  a  duo  from  France  that  plays  a  very  atmospheric,  depressive  and  occult  form  of  black  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2026  album  "Sitra  Ahra"  which  will  be  released  in  April  by  Antiq.

  A  very  dark  yet  heavy  sound  starts  off  the  album  while  the  riffs  also  add  in  a  great  amount  of  melody  and  all  of  the  tracks  are  also  very  long  and  epic  in  length.  When  the  music  speeds  up  a  great  amount  of  blast  beats  can  be  heard  along  with  the  vocals  being  mostly  high  pitched  depressive  black  metal  screams.

  All  of  the  musical  instruments  also  have  a  very  powerful  sound  to  them  while  the  songs  also  add  in  a  good  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts.  When  tremolo  picking  is  added  into  the  fast  riffing  they  also  give  the  album  more  of  a  raw  feeling,  when  synths  are  utilized  they  also  give  the  recording  more  of  an  atmospheric  touch.

  In  my  opinion  Tarask  are  a  very  great  sounding  atmospheric,  depressive  and  occult  black  metal  duo  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of   this  musical  genre,  you  should  check  out  this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Evocation  I  and  "Evocation  VI".  8  out  of  10.

  Ignobleth  are  a  band  from  Italy  that  have  music  reviewed  before  in  this  zine  and  on  this  recording  plays  an  occult  and  bestial  mixture  of  war,  black  and  death  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2026  album  "Manor  Of  Primitive  Anticreation"  which  will be  released  in  April  by  Caligari  Records.

  A  very  ritualistic  and  synth  orientated  intro  starts  off  the  album  before  going  into  a  heavier  direction  while  the  solos  and  leads  are  also  done  in  a  very  chaotic  style.  When  the  music  speeds  up  a  great  amount  of  brutal  blast  beats,  tremolo  picking  and  war  metal  elements  can  be  heard  which  also  gives  the  recording  more  of  a  raw  feeling.

  Vocals  are  mostly  bestial  growls  while  all  of  the  musical  instruments  on  the  album  also  have  a  very  powerful  sound  to  them.  Throughout  the  recording  you  can  also  hear  a  good  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  along  with  some  black  metal  screams  also  being  utilized  at  times,  melodies  are  also  added  into  some  of  the  guitar  riffing.

  Some  tracks  also  having  brief  ambient  interludes  in  between  them  and  the  closing  song  is  very  long  and  epic  in  length  and  adds  in  a  small  amount  of  spoken  words.The  production  sounds  very  dark  and  raw  while  the  lyrics  cover  Kabballistic  Magick,  Sumerian  Mythology,  Egyptian  Mysteries  and  Lovecraftian  Abominations.

  In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Ignobeleth  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  occult  and  bestial  war,  black  and  death  metal,  you  should  check  out  this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Obelisk  Of  Deformity"  "And  The  Lunar  Mass  Shatters"  and  "Among  the  Seventy -Two  Embalmed  Ekpyrotic  Gods".  8/5  out  of  10.

  When  the  music  speeds  up  a  great  amount  of  tremolo  picking  and  blast  beats  can  be  heard  which  also  gives  the  album  more  of  a  raw  feeling.  Throughout  the  recording  you  can  also  hear  a  good  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  while  the  riffs  also  add  in  a  decent  amount  of  melody,  clean  playing  and  spoken  words  are  also  added  on  a  few  tracks  and  a  later  song  also  adds  in  a  brief  use  of  clear  singing.

  On  this  recording  Aerdryk  goes  for  an  atmospheric  style  of  black  metal  that  is  very  heavily  rooted  in  the  mid  90's  era  of  the  genre.  The  production  sounds  very  dark  and  raw  while  the  lyrics  are  written  in t he  songwriter's  native  tongue  and  covers  the  Devil  as  a  metaphor.

  In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Aedyk  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  atmospheric  and  old  school  black  metal,  you  should  check  out  this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Modder  en  Bloed"  "Onzuiver"  and  "In  het  Gref  en  Diep".  8  out  of  10.

  This  is  a  review  of  a  3  way  split  album  between  Greece's  Thymata,  Sweden's  Grimtone  and  Portugal's  Krucix  called  "Et  omnia  vanitas"  which  was  released  by  War  Peoductions  and  we  will  start  off  the  review  with  Thymata  who  return  with  a  raw  and  old  school  form  of  black  metal.

  Their  side  of  the  split  starts  out  with  a  very  dark  sound  while  you  can  also  hear  all  of  the  musical  instruments  that  are  present  on  their  side  of  the  recording.  Synths  can  also  be  heard  briefly  along  with  the  faster  sections  of  the  songs  also  adding  in  a  great  amount  of  tremolo  picking  and  blast  beats  which  also  gives  the  music  more  of  a  raw  feeling.

  Vocals  are  mostly  grim  sounding  black  metal  screams  along  with  the  songs  also  adding  in  a  good  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts.  Most  of  the  music  is  also  very  heavily  rooted  in  the  old  school  of  the  genre  as  well  as  some  of  the  riffing  also  adding  in  melodies,  growls  can  also  be  heard  briefly.  The  production  sounds  very  dark  and  raw  while  the  lyrics  cover  mythology,  blood  and  darkness  themes.

  In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Thymata  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  raw  and  old  school  black  metal,  you  should  check  out  their  side  of  the  split.  RECOMMENDED  TRACK  "Acheron".  

  Next  up  is  Grimtone  who  return  with  an  old  school  style  of  black  metal.

  Their  side  of  the  split  starts  out  with  some  slow  doom  metal  riffing  while  the  riffs  also  add  in  a  lot  of  melody.  When  guitar  solos  and  leads  are  utilized  they  are  also  done  in  a  very  melodic  style  along  with  the  vocals  being  mostly  grim  sounding  black  metal  screams  and  the  music  also  adds  in  a  good  amount  of  old  school  touches.

  Clean  playing  can  also  be  heard  briefly  along with  some  blast  beats  and  tremolo  picking  also  being  utilized  when  the  music  speeds  up  which  gives  their  side  of  the  recording  more  of  a  raw  feeling,  synths  are  also  added  towards  the  end.  The  production  sounds  very  dark  and  raw  while  the  lyrics  cover  death  and  anti  religion  themes.

  In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Grimtone  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  old  school  black  metal,  you  should  check  out  their  side  of  the  split.  RECOMMENDED  TRACK  "Excommunicated".

  Closing  the  split  is  Krucifix  who  return  with  their  raw  and  old  school  style  of  black  metal.

  Their  side  of  the  split  starts  out  with  dark  soundscapes  along  with  some  synths  a  few  seconds  which  also  adds  in  an  atmospheric  touch  later  before  going  into  a  very  fast  and  raw  musical  direction  which  also  utilizes  a  great  amount  of  tremolo  picking  and  blast  beats  and  the  vocals  are  mostly  high  pitched  black  metal  screams.

  Melodies  are  also  added  into  a  lot  of  the  guitar  riffing  along  with  all  of  the  musical  instruments  also  having  a  very  powerful  sound  to  them.  Growls  can  also  be  heard  at  times  as  well  as  the  guitar  leads  also  adding  in  more  of  a  melodic  style  and  both  of  their  tracks  are  also  very  long  and  epic  in  length.  The  production  sounds  very  dark  and  raw  while  the  lyrics  cover  planets. 

  In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  Krucifix  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  atmospheric,  old  school  and  raw  black  metal,  you  should  check  out  their  side  of  the  split.  RECOMMENDED  TRACK  "Venus".

  In  conclusion  I  feel  this  is  a  very  great  sounding  split  and  I  would  recommend  it  to  all  fans  of  old  school  black  metal.  8  out  of  10.

  At  times  the  ep  also  gets  very  atmospheric  sounding  while  the  tremolo  picking  also  gives  the  recording  more  of  a  raw  feeling.  When  the  music  speeds  up  a  decent  amount  of  blast  beats  can  also  be  heard  along  with  the  songs  also  adding  in  a  good  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts,  all  of  the  riffing  is  also  done  on power  chords  as  well as  the  closing  track  being  an  instrumental  and  adding  in  a  small  amount  of  synths.

  Finnr  plays  a  style  of  black  metal  that  mixes  the  old  school,  raw,  atmospheric  and  depressive  sides  of t he  genre  to  create  a  sound  of  their  own.  The  production  sounds  very  dark  and  raw  while  the  lyrics  cover  winter,  solitude  and  isolation themes.

  A  very  heavy  sound  starts  off  the  album  while  you  can  also  hear  all  of  the  musical  instruments  that  are  present  on  the  recording.  Vocals  are  mostly  high  pitched  black  metal  screams  mixed  in  with  some  clear  viking  metal  singing  and  when  the  music  speeds  up  a  great  amount  of  tremolo  picking  and  blast  beats  can  be  heard  which  also  gives  the  songs  more  of  a  raw  feeling.

  Throughout  the  album  you  can  also  hear  a  good  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  while  the  music  is  also  very  heavily  rooted  in  the  classic  Nordic  style.  Melodies  are  also  added  into  a  lot  of  the  guitar  riffing  along  with  the  solos  and  leads  also  being  done  in  a  very  melodic  style,  one  song  also  adds  in  a  brief  use  of  clean  playing  and  a  couple  of  tacks  also  adds  in  a  small  amount  of  spoken  words.

  On  this  recording  Nifrost  brings  out  a  very  epic  and  melodic  style  of  viking  black  metal.  The  production  sounds  very  professional  while  the  lyrics  are  written  in  Norwegian  and  cover  Norse  Mythology.

  In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Nifrost  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  epic  and  melodic  viking  metal,  you  should  check  out  this  album.  ECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Briseld"  "Livskraft"  and  "Likdans".  8  out  of  10.

Tombeaux de Fer Interview

 

1.For those that have never heard of you before, can you tell us a little bit about the solo project?

- TOMBEAUX DE FER was created in France (Gex) in June 2024 out of a passion for Black Metal and U-boats. The latter completely fascinated me with the conditions in which these soldiers of the oceans lived and faced death. The U-boats were terror, the spectral form of the deathly horizons.

2.So far you have released 2 ep's, can you tell us a little bit more about the musical style that you went for on both recordings?

- Having a deep and sincere love for old-school black metal, it was obvious that I had to retain all the charms of the genre. And for that, I opted for very minimalist equipment, and to my great surprise, it sounds really good!

3.Your lyrics cover u-boats and submarines, can you tell us a little bit more about your interest in this subject?

- The lyrics reflect the experiences of submariners. I read a book about U-boats and I translate that into music. It's awe-inspiring for me to imagine these machines with humans in the middle of nowhere, knowing that death was their only escape.

4.What is the meaning and inspiration behind the name 'Tombeaux der Fer'?

- It expresses a tomb, a coffin, fear, death, nothingness, war!

5.Can you tell us a little bit more about the artwork that is presented on the cover of the most recent release?

- For the cover, I absolutely wanted a 1939-1945 submarine with a specific angle. And I found the U-278, which is magnificent. In fact, it's very difficult to find images from that era with U-boats from an angle that meets my expectations. So I'm very limited in my visual choices.

6.With this project you record everything by yourself but have worked with musicians in other bands. do you prefer to work solo?

- Absolutely, I did everything myself. From composing and recording to mixing, visuals, etc. It was a huge investment (and I loved it). I spent a lot of time in the garage where I recorded everything, and my life revolved entirely around TOMBEAUX DE FER. And later on, there was a guest on the track U-96.

7.The new release was released on Adipocere Records', how did you get in touch with this label?

- It's an immense honor to be with Adipocere; they're an icon of the metal scene. Christian (the label owner) and I have known each other for years. After I shared my project with him, he offered me a deal on his label. Without hesitation, I immediately said yes. And what a joy it is to see TOMBEAUX DE FER signed to Adipocere. This also gave me the opportunity to be featured in Metallian magazine. It's the culmination of my dreams.

8.On a worldwide level how has the reaction been to your music by fans of black metal?

- TOMBEAUX DE FER is doing very well for a recent project. I've only had positive feedback, whether from the US, South America, or Europe. Many people who buy my project thank me for bringing back the Black Metal sound of the 90s/2000s, and the atypical theme adds to its authenticity.

9.What is going on with your other bands or musical projects these days?

- I'm very invested in TOMBEAUX DE FER and prefer to focus solely on that project for the time being. I don't like to spread myself too thin across multiple projects at once because my mind needs to remain focused on a single sound.

10.When can we expect a full length and also where do you see yourself heading into as a musician during the future?

- As for an album, I don't know yet. I'm mainly releasing EPs at the moment. For me, Brutal Black shouldn't be too long on a disc. Especially since the next one (Les Spectres De Guerre) is more aggressive than the first EP (L'Acier Victorieux).

11.What are some of the bands or musical styles that have had an influence on your music and also what are you listening to nowadays?

- Especially Black Metal from Eastern Europe and Quebec. So there's Hate Forest, Precambrian, Horna, Frozen Shadows, etc... However, I want to emphasize that I wasn't inspired by Marduk at all, because I'm often compared to them.

Maledictvs Peste Interview

 

1. For those who have never heard of you, can you tell us a little about the band?

 Maledictvs Peste is a Black Death Metal band that was formed in mid-2023 in Santiago, Chile; by myself (Rddrhsllks) on guitar and F., on drums. In 2024, Nekromaniac joined to provide vocals and unleash the misanthropic rage that characterizes us, devastating the musical canons of contemporary music with bestiality, without respite or mercy. We seek existential destruction! 

2. So far you've released a demo. Can you tell us a little more about the musical style you chose for the recording? 

Yes, so far we've only released the MMXXV Demo, which has three songs plus an intro. From the very beginning of Maledictvs Peste, the idea has always been to keep our work as raw as possible, without embellishing the instruments, resulting in the most organic final mix. The band's naturalness lies in staying true to its raw edge and not following the despicable paths of post-production, where there's more digital effects and computerized sounds than talent or good ideas. We aim to create discomfort in the listener. 

3. What are some of the themes and lyrical issues the band has explored so far in its music?

 Contempt for all forms of existence and the eternal destruction of humanity influence us. 

4. What is the meaning and inspiration behind the name 'Maledictvs Peste'? 

This answer is linked to the next question.

 5. Can you tell us a little more about the artwork featured on the new demo cover? 

Well, it's an Italian painting from 1440, "Il Trionfo della Morte" (The Triumph of Death) (anonymous). The narrative of the image shows how death rides a horse in alliance with the Black Death and ravages everything in it´s path, crushing every social class without mercy. What the band demonstrates conceptually and musically is closely related to the events in this Italian artwork. 

6. Has the band performed any live concerts or is it open to the idea? 

So far, we've received a couple of invitations to play live, but for the moment, we haven't opened up the possibility. We want to record our work, and that's enough for now; although we're not completely closed off to playing live, it's not at the moment. It's worth noting that our work is so organic that it could be performed anywhere on this filthy planet. 

7. So far, very little is known about the band. Do you prefer to maintain a lower profile?

Yes, very little is known about the band, and it's our intention that it remains that way. The saturation of images and content on social media is something that disgusts us and makes us feel even more hatred for existence. The photo shoots and all the paraphernalia to see which band is the most evil in the world makes us laugh. We keep a low profile and just want to compose and assault eardrums. 

8. The physical version of the demo was released on 'Psalmodist Records'. Can you tell us a little more about this label? 

Psalmodist Records is a French label focused on the underground scene and 100% committed. They are very serious and efficient in their work. The release of the MMXXV DEMO by Jerome came about through an exchange of our tapes that Ediciones de la Anhedonia made with him; Jerome, upon hearing our music, was amazed and offered to reissue the demo, and we were very satisfied with the result. Their logistics for releasing it were very quick. The demo currently has three tape editions: first released by the label Norz Legio here in Chile, then by Ediciones de la Anhedonia in Mexico, and now by Psalmodist Records in this latest version. 

9. What has been the global reaction to your music from war, black, and death metal fans? 

The truth is, we haven't had many reviews of the demo (we're not that interested in that), but those who have had the chance to listen to it have given us a very positive response because they liked it quite a lot. We still think we don't want to overexpose the band and keep a lower profile, remaining true to the underground and appearing in worthwhile venues (like Voices From The Darkside, your site and among others). 

10. When can we expect a full album, and where do you see the band heading musically in the future?

 We're currently working on our first full-length album. We'll be recording it soon and hope to release it sometime this year, 2026.

 11. What are some of the bands or musical styles that have influenced your music, and what are you currently listening to? 

The band has significant influences such as Maniac Butcher, Abominator, Dødheimsgard, and Bestial Warlust; always maintaining the idea of performing a Black Death Metal that is not a copy of a copy of a copy of any band, maintaining our sound and influences. The South American sound is there, no mercy! 

12. Does Satanism or the occult play any role in your music? 

Eternal Self Destruction! 

13. Before we conclude this interview, do you have any final words or thoughts?

  A  very  dark  yet  heavy  sound  starts  off  the  album  while  all  of  the  tracks  are  also  very  long  and  epic  in  length.  You  can  also  hear  all  of  the  musical  instruments  that  are  present  on  the  recording  along  with  the  faster  sections  of  the  songs  also  adding  in  a  lot  of  tremolo  picking  and  blast  beats  which  also  gives  the  music  more  of  a  raw  feeling.

  Throughout  the  album  you  can  also  hear  a  good  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  while  the  music  also  adds  a  more  modern  approach  to  the  genre.  Dissonant  melodies  are  also  added  into  some  of  the  guitar  riffing  along  with  the  vocals  also  bringing  in  a  more  growling  death  metal  approach.

  At  times  the  harsh  vocals  also  add  in  more  of  an  angry  and  grim  black  metal  approach  along  with  the  album  also  having  its  technical  moments.  When  spoken  words  are  utilized  they  also  give  the  music  more  of  a  ritualistic  touch.as  well  as  some  keyboards  and  clean  playing  also  being  used  briefly.  The  production  sounds  very  professional  while  the  lyrics  cover  Left  Hand  Path,  Chaos-Gnosticism  and  Draconian  Currents.

  In  my  opinion  Ain  Sof  Aur  are  a  very  great  sounding  occult  black  metal  band  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  musical  genre,  you  should  check  out  this  recording.  RECOMMENDED  TRACK  "II",  8  out  of  10.

Varmia/Iauks/M - Theory Audio/2026 Full Length Review

 

  Poland's  Varmia  have  returned  with  a  new  recording  which  shows  the  music  going  for  a  pagan  style  of  black  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2026  album  "Iauks"  which  will  be  released  in  March  by  M  -  Theory  Audio.

  A  very  dark,  heavy  and  melodic  sound  starts  off  the  album  while  you  can  also  hear  all  of  the  musical  instruments  that  are  present  on  the  recording.  Vocals  are  a  mixture  of  black  metal  screams.  growls  and  clear  pagan  singing  and  the  faster  sections  of  the  songs  also  add  in  a  lot  of  blast  beats.

  When  tremolo  picking  is  added  into  the  fast  riffing  they  also  give  the  music  more  of  a  raw  feeling  while  the  songs  also  bring  in  a  good  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  along  with  some  tracks  also  adding  in  percussion  and  Baltic  style  folk  instruments  without  losing  any  brutality  or  aggression,  when  guitar  solos  and  leads  are  finally  utilized  they  are  done  in  more  of  a  chaotic  style.

  On  this  recording  Varmia  takes  their  pagan  style  of  black  metal  into  more  of  a  raw  and  brutal  direction  as  well  as  mixing  in  some  elements  of  death  metal  and  also  keeping  the  folk  music  touches  of  previous  releases.  The  production  sounds  very  professional  while  the  lyrics  are  written  in  Polish  and  cover  the  ancient  Baltic  tribes  of  the  historical  Warmia  region  of  northern  Poland.

  In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Varmia  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  pagan  black  metal,  you  should  check  out  this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Czarne  drogi  Xsiężyca"  "Dzień,  pół  nocy"  and  "...po  widok  za".  8  out  of  10.

  Olhava  are  a  duo  from  Russia  that  has  had  music  reviewed  before  in  this  zine  and  on  this  recording  plays  an  atmospheric  mixture  of  post  black  metal  and  blackgaze  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2026  album  "Memorial"  which  will  be  released  on  February  27th  by  Avantgarde  Music.

  Field  recordings  start  off  the  album  along  with  some  atmospheric  sounding  synths  which  also  mixes  in  with  the  heavier  sections  of  the  recording.  Most  of  the  songs  are  also  very  long  and  epic  in  length  when  the  music  speeds  up  a  great  amount  of  tremolo  picking  and  blast  beats  can  be  heard  which  also  gives  the  tracks  more  of  a  raw  feeling.

  Vocals  are  mostly  high  pitched  black  metal  screams  which  are  mixed  down  low  while  in  the  mix  while  all  of  the  musical  instruments  sound  very  powerful.  Throughout  the  album  you  can  also  hear  a  good  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  along  with  the  riffs  also  adding  in  a  great  amount  of  melody.

  At  times  the  riffs  also  add  in  more  of  a  repetitive  approach  along  with  the  solos  and  leads  also  adding  in  more  of  a  melodic  post  metal  style  when  they  are  utilized  as  well  as  the  calmer  sections  of  the  album  also  bringing  in  elements  of  shoegaze,  some  of  the  tracks  are  also  instrumentals  and  nature  sounds  can  also  be  heard  briefly.  The  production  sounds  very  raw  and  lo-fi  while  the  lyrics  cover  Rebirth  themes.

  In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  album  from  Olhava  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  atmospheric  post  black  metal  and  blackgaze,  you  should  check  out  this  recording.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "After  I'm  Gone"  and  "The  River  Wakes".  8  out  of  10.

   Ainzamkait  are  a  duo  from  Germany  that  has  had  music  reviewed  before  in  this  zine  and  on  this  recording  plays  a  very mid  tempo,   atmospheric  and  depressive  form  of  black  metal  and  this  is  a   review  of t heir  2026  album  "Fluch  des  Nachzerers"  which  will  be  released  in  march  by  Purity  Through  Fire.

  Synths  start  off  the  album  along  with  some  clean  playing  a  few  seconds  later  before  going  into  a  heavier  direction  while  the  vocals  are  mostly  high  pitched  depressive  black  metal  screams.  All  of  the  musical  instruments  also  have  a  very  powerful  sound  to  them  and  a  couple  of  tracks  are  also  long  and  epic  in  length.

  At  times  the  music  also  gets  very  atmospheric  sounding  while  the  music  is  more  rooted  in  the  classic  era  of  DSBM.  When  the  music  speeds  up  a  decent  amount  of  blast  beats  can  also  be  heard,  one  track  also  adds  in  session  work  from  a  member  of  Order  Of  Nosferat  along  with  the  tremolo  picking  in  the  riffs  also  giving  the  songs  more  of  a  raw  feeling  and  most  of  the  album  sticks  to  a mid  tempo  direction  as  ell  as  one  song  also  adding  in  a  brief  use  of  clean  playing. 

    On  this  recording  Ainzamkait  plays  a  style  of  black  metal  that  is  very  atmospheric,  depressive  and  mid  tempo  sounding  in  the  mid  2000's  tradition.  The  production  sounds  very  dark  and  raw  while  the  lyrics  are  written  in  German  and  cover  darkness  and  melancholy  themes.

  In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Ainzmkait  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  atmospheric,  dpressive  and  mid  tempo  black  metal,  you  should  check  out  this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Blutrausch"  and  "Pestritter"  and  "Was  bleibi  ist  Einsmleit".  8  out  of  10.

  When  guitar  solos  and  leads  are  utilized  they  are  also  done  in  a  very  melodic  post  metal  style  while  the  clean  sections  also  adding  in  some  post  and  progressive  rock  touches.  Clear  singing  can  also  be  heard  at  times  along  with  the  faster  section  sections  of  the  recording  also  adding  in  a  great  amount  of  tremolo  picking  and  blast  beats  which  also  gives  the  music  more  of  a  raw  feeling. the  music  is  more  rooted  in  the  modern  era  of  the  genre.

  On  this  recording  Heiden  brings  out  a  very  modern,  atmospheric  and  progressive  style  of  post  black  metal,  The  production  sounds  very  professional  while  the  lyrics  are  written  in  Czech  and  cover  dark  and  nihilistic  themes.

  In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  album  from  Heiden  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  atmospheric  and  progressive  black  metal,  you  should  check  out  this  recording.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Odmitam  zitrek"  "Rozsudek"  "Stena"  and  "Poseledni".  8  out  of  10.
