The Circle Of The Elect are a band from Ukraine that plays an atmospheric form of black metal and this is a review of their 2026 album :Kaoskarma" which will be released on May 22nd by Archaic Sound.
A very dark and heavy sound starts off the album while you can also hear all of the musical instruments that are present on the recording. Vocals are mostly angry sounding black metal screams along with the synths also adding in some atmospheric touches when they are utilized and blast beats are added into the faster sections of the songs.
When tremolo picking is added into the fast riffing they also give the music more of a raw feeling while the riffs also add in a decent amount of melody. Throughout the album you can also hear a good mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and when guitar solos and leads are utilized they are also done in a very melodic style.
The Circle of The Elect plays a style of black metal that is very modern, aggressive and atmospheric sounding. The production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover isolation, conflict and internal strain.
In my opinion The Circle Of The Elect are a very great sounding atmospheric black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "1" and "5". 8 out of 10.
