Tenebrae In Perpetuum are a band from Italy that plays a very frozen and mystical form of black metal and this is a review of their 2019 album "Anorexia Oscura" which will be released on August 30th by Debembur Morti Productions.
A very heavy and distorted sound starts off the album while the vocals are mostly grim sounding black metal screams. Elements of electronic music are also added into some parts of the recording and when the music speeds up a decent amount of tremolo picking and blast beats can also heard which also gives the songs more of a raw feeling.
Dissonant style melodies are also added into a lot of the music while the songs also add in a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts. When guitar solos and leads are utilized they also add in a very modern and dissonant style as well as a couple of the tracks being very long and epic in length.
Spoken word parts are also added into certain sections of the recording as well as all of the musical instruments also having a very powerful sound to them along with the music also adding in a great amount of discordant structures. The production sounds very professional while the lyrics are written in Italian and cover occultism, death and mysticism themes.
In my opinion Tenebrae In Perpetuum are a very great sounding frozen and mystical black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this recording. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Dissoananze Mentali" "L' epoca Oscura Del Chaos" and "Silicio Freddo". 8 out of 10.
