Adorned Brood are a band from Germany that has been featured before in this zine with a musical sound on this recording that I would describe as being as being pagan metal mixed in with folk music and this is a review of their 2012 album "Kuningaz" which was released by Massacre Records.
Drums range from slow, mid paced to fast drumming with not much in the way of blast beats, while the folk instruments bring a very atmospheric and medieval sound to the music as well as adding in some keyboards, as for the bass playing it has a very dark tone with riffs that follow the riffing that is coming out of the guitars.
Rhythm guitars range from slow, mid paced to fast pagan/black metal riffs that utilize a great amount of melody and folk music influences in the riffing, while the lead guitars are very melodic sounding guitar solos and leads, as for the acoustic guitars when they are utilized they use full chords and finger picking to give the music more variety.
Vocals range high pitched black/pagan metal screams mixed in with some deep growls and a good amount of folk metal style clean singing, while the lyrics cover Norse and Germanic Paganism, as for the production it has a very strong, powerful, heavy and professional sound to it.
In my opinion this is another great recording from Adorned Brood and if you are a fan of this band, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Kuningaz" "Victory Of Valhall" "Just A Fight" and "We Are Legion". RECOMMENDED BUY.
