Hellsodomy are a band from Turkey that plays a very raw and blasphemous mixture of black, death and thrash metal and this is a review of their 2019 album "Morbid Cult" which will be released in December by Saturnal Records.
A very dark, heavy and brutal sound starts off the album along with the riffs also adding in a small amount of evil sounding melodies at times. When guitar leads are utilized they are done in a very dark, old school.chaotic and melodic style along with the vocals being mostly grim blackened metal screams.
The songs also mix in a decent amount of thrash metal elements while the faster sections of the music also adds in a decent amount of blast beats. Influences of death metal can also be heard in some of the guitar riffing along with the songs also adding in a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and when tremolo picking is utilized it gives the tracks more of a raw feeling as well as adding in a touch of war metal and the music is also very heavily rooted in the 80's and 90's but still retaining a very modern atmosphere.
Hellsodomy plays a musical style that takes black, death and thrash metal and mixes them together to create a sound of their own. The production sounds very raw and heavy while the lyrics cover blasphemy, anti religion and desecration themes.
In my opinion Hellsodomy are a very great sounding mixture of black, death and thrash metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Endless Demise" "From the Seed To The Grave" "Mortem In Comfort" and "Souls Devoured". 8 out of 10.
