This is a review of a self released 4 way split album between Italy's Necrothytus, Brazil's Soturnez, U.S.A's Endless Solitude and Germany's Tiefstand called "The Long Sorrowful Journey To Death" and we will start off the review with Necrothytus a solo project that plays a very depressive form of black metal.
His side of the split starts out with tragic sounding keyboards which also mixes in with the heavier sections of the songs at times. All of the musical instruments on his side of the recording have a very powerful sound to them while the vocals are mostly angry yet depressive sounding black metal vocals along with thee faster sections of the songs also adding in a decent amount of blast beats, melodies are also added into some of the guitar riffing and whispers can also be heard briefly The production sounds very dark and raw and the lyrics are written in Italian and cover suicide and depression themes.
In my opinion Necrothytus are a very great sounding depressive black metal solo project and if you are a fan of this genre, you should c heck out his side of the split. RECOMMENDED TRACK "Resta con me.
Next up is Soturnez a solo project that plays a very depressive form of black metal.
His side of the split starts out with a very dark yet heavy sound along with some high pitched depressive black metal screams a few seconds later. When the music speeds up a decent amount of blast beats can also be heard while the riffs also add in a small amount of melody at times, clean playing is also added on the second track. The production sounds very dark and raw and the lyrics are written in Portuguese and cover death, suicide and depression themes.
In my opinion Soturnez are a very great sounding depressive black metal solo project and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out his side of the split. RECOMMENDED TRACK "O lado Soturno".
Next up is Endless Solitude s solo project that plays a very depressive form of black emtal.
His side of the split starts out with some clean playing while spoken word parts can also be heard briefly before going into a very fast and raw musical direction which also utilizes a great amount of tremolo picking and blast beats. Melodies are also added into some of the guitar riffing while the vocals are mostly high pitched depressive black metal screams as well as the songs also adding in a good mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts. The production sounds very dark and raw and the lyrics cover depression, suicide and self-harm themes.
In my opinion Endless Solitude are a very great sounding depressive black emtal solo project and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out his side of the split. RECOMMENDED TRACK "Guilt".

In conclusion I feel this is a very great sounding split and I would recommend it to all fans of depressive black emtal.
