Scarlet Empyrean Interview

 

1. For those that have never heard of you before, can you tell us a little bit about the solo project?

Scarlet Empyrean is a reflection of the Triumphs & Sorrows on which Mankind must balance.

A spiritual catalyst for the transfer of all forms of negative emotion, and the revelation of Natural Beauties held within such forms.

2. So far you have released an ep, can you tell us a little bit more about the musical style that you went for on the recording?

Cathartic, Raw Black Metal that carries the Flame of Old Tradition.

3. Some of your lyrics cover mysticism and spirituality themes, can you tell us a little bit more about your interest in these topics?

My interest deepens with further understanding & application. 0 = 2

4. What are some of the other lyrical topics and subjects you have explored so far with the music?

On the EP, the aforementioned themes are most significant on the surface.

Yet while the lyrics are crafted in a specific way, it is best if the listener come to their own interpretation uninfluenced, for now.

5. What is the meaning and inspiration behind the name 'Scarlet Empyrean'?

The Sub-Ether tethering Upper Limits of our World & Beyond.

6. Can you tell us a little bit more about the artwork that is presented on the ep cover?

7. With this project you record everything by yourself, are you open to working with other musicians or do you prefer to work solo?

Much preferred is Composing in the solitudes & gentle hum of Night whose Unabetted Evolution through Seasons informs such Compositions.

All that is Human, that which Perverts the moment of Creation, must be Exorcised from within so that Nature & Soul may communicate.

This is the only way to create Uncompromised Sound that brings healing to both Elements.

8. The new ep is going to be released on 'Heaven's Night', an you tell us a little bit more about this label?

Heaven's Night exists to Breathe Life into the Malevolent Beauty of Cathartic Black Metal.

To Breathe Life into Sound which is Birthed of & Offered in Reverence to Earth's Ancient Grace.

To Invoke the Wisdom that comes with Comprehension of All Grief of the Universe. 

9. On a worldwide level how has the reaction been to your music by fans of black metal?

We have received strong support in the global Underground so far. 'Nysthica' Tapes are almost gone.

10. Are you also involved with any other bands or musical projects?

Currently, the focus is Scarlet Empyrean. There are bands that we have been in contact with from across the World who are interested in becoming aligned.

To be considered goes beyond just Music.

Naturally, with such strict criteria comes intense vetting. One band that CAN be spoken of is Welteislehre.

Their demo is seething, cold and romantically sorrowful.

While different in approach from Scarlet Empyrean, they represent True Cathartic Raw Black Metal and are Naturally Aligned in vision.

11. When can we expect a full length and also where do you see yourself heading into as a musician during the future?

Many details are still guarded. I can say the ideas presented in the EP have been expanded upon greatly while maintaining its Essence. Stay tuned.

12. What are some of the bands or musical styles that have had an influence on your music and also what are you listening to nowadays?

Some have compared certain aspects of Scarlet Empyrean to those of Hate Forest, Walknut, and early Drudkh.

I have been listening to Astral Infest, Gas, Krohm, and BBH works lately.  

13. Before we wrap up this interview, do you have any final words or thoughts?
