Nero Barlume are a solo project from Italy that plays a very depressive and atmospheric form of black metal and this is a review of their 2014 ep "La Vita Fugge" which was released by Cvlminis.
Clean guitars start off the ep and after the intro spoken word parts are added onto the recording before adding in heavy guitars along with some synths and when the music speeds up and brings in blast beats it has more of a raw black metal feeling and after awhile high pitched grim screams start becoming a huge part of the recording.
Most of the tracks are very long and epic in length and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and the spoken word parts also make a return in certain sections of the recording and the synths when they are utilized gives the music more of an atmospheric feeling while the slow riffs bring in more of a depressive atmosphere.
Nero Barlume plays a style of black metal that is very dark, raw, depressive ant atmospheric while also bringing in melodies at times, the production sounds very dark and r aw while the lyrics are written in Italian and cover Introspective themes and darkness.
In my opinion Nero Barlume are a very great sounding raw, atmospheric and depressive black metal project and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "La Vita Fugge" amd "L'Estrema Fragranza del male". 8 out of 10.
