Blood Worship are a band from Sweden that plays a Swedish style of black metal with some elements of doom and death metal and this is a review of their self released 2018 ep "Death's Omnipotence" which will be released on June 15th.
Drum beats start off the ep along with some heavy riffing a few seconds later while the solos and leads are done in a very melodic style long with the faster sections of the songs also bringing in a decent amount of blast beats and tremolo picking which also gives the music a more raw feeling.
Vocals are mostly grim black metal screams while the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts along with the riffs also utilizing a lot of melody as well as some death metal growls also being used at times and the slower sections of the music bring in elements of doom metal and all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them.
Blood Worship plays a musical style that is mostly rooted in Swedish black metal while the doom and death metal elements makes the music stand out a lot more, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover darkness and death themes.
In my opinion Blood Worship are a very great sounding Swedish black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Rites of The Inner Shrine" and "Shadows Etched in Stone". 8 out of 10.
