Tujarot/Existencialista/Iron Bonehead Productions/2018 CD Review

  Tujarot  are  a  band  from  Slovakia  that  plays  an  occult  form  of  black  metal  and  this is  a  review  of  their  2017  album  "Existencialista"  which  was  originally  released as  a 3  cd set  and  now  being  put  on  a  single  format  in  2018  and  will  be  released in  July  by  Iron  Bonehead  Productions

  Atmospheric  soundscapes  along  with  some  clean  guitars  start  off  the  album  before  going  into  a  heavier  direction  which  also  introduces  high  pitched  black  metal  screams  onto  the  recording  and  when  the  music  speeds  up  a  great  amount  of  blast  beats  and  tremolo  picking  can  be  heard  which  also  gives  the  songs  a  more  raw  feeling.

  All  of  the  tracks  are  very  long  and  epic  in  length  while  the  songs  also  bring  in  a  great  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  along  with  some  grim  whispers  also  being  used  at  times  as  well  as  the  riffs  also  adding  melodies  into  certain  sections  of  the  recording,  on  the  second  tracks  synths  are  added  into  the  music  and  the  music  also  brings  in  a  good  mixture  of  both  old  school  and  modern  influences.  and  on  the  closing  song  the  music  gets  more  ritualistic  and  experimental  sounding

  Tujarot  plays  a  style  of  occult  black  metal  that  is  very  raw,  ritualistic  and  epic  sounding,  the  production  sounds  very  dark  and  raw  while  the  lyrics  are  written  in  their  native  tongue  and  cover  Occultism  and  Philosophy  themes. 

  In  my  opinion  Tujarot  are  a  very  great  sounding  occult  black  metal  band  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  musical  genre,  you  should  check  out  this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACK  "Uranos".  8  out  of  10.
