Incorporea are a duo from Spain that plays a very atmospheric form of black metal with elements of doom metal and this is a review of their 2018 ep "To Excorcize The Sun" which was released by Vertabrae.
A very dark and heavy sound starts off the album along with some grim black metal screams a few seconds later while the music also gets very atmospheric at times as well as the faster sections of the songs also bringing in a decent amount of blast beats and the music also has a lot of 90's influences.
Elements of doom metal can also be heard in the slower sections of the songs while spoken word parts can also be heard briefly along with all of the musical instruments having a very powerful sound to them as well as some acoustic guitars also being used briefly and the music also brings in some modern influences and spoken word parts are added onto t he second track.
Incorporea plays a musical style that is mostly rooted in atmospheric black metal while the doom metal elements makes the songs stand out a lot more, the production sounds very raw and heavy while the lyrics cover negativity, suffering and despair themes.
In my opinion Incorporea are a very great sounding atmospheric mixture of black and doom metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this duo. RECOMMENDED TRACK "Carved In Paroxysmal Void". 8 out of 10.
