Necrochakal are a band from Greece that plays an old school mixture of war, black, death and thrash metal and this is a review of their 2025 album "Golgothian Orgies Of Bestial Lust" which will be released in march by Floga Records.
A very dark yet heavy sound starts off the album while all of the musical instruments also have a very powerful sound to them. Elements of thrash metal are also utilized quite a bit throughout the recording and the faster sections of the songs also add in a lot of blast beats and the brutality of war metal.
Vocals are mostly black metal screams which mix both the first and second wave era's together while the songs also add in a good mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts. A small amount of melody can also be heard in some of the guitar riffing along with the album also adding in touches of early 90's death metal at times.
When guitar solos and leads are utilized they are also done in a very chaotic style along with all of the musical instruments on the recording also having a very powerful sound to them, raw tremolo picking can also be heard in some of the faster riffing and growls are also added into certain sections of the album as well as one song also being an acoustic instrumental. The production sounds very raw and old school while the lyrics cover desecration, sacrilege and violent rituals.
In my opinion Necrochakal are a very great sounding old school mixture of war, black, death and thrash metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Satanas Rebirth" "Golgotha Necromancer" and "Son of Loss...Judas Goat". 8 out of 10.
