This is a review of another recording from Nazgulum with the musical style combining their raw and primitive sound of the early recordings with the more experimental side of the later material with the ep being self released in 2010 and called "Goat Rec".
Drums range from slow, mid paced to fast drumming with some blast beats being utilized at times, while the choir and orchestra bring the experimental and avant garde sound to the music, as for the bass playing it has a very strong and powerful sound with heavy riffing that dominates throughout the recording.
Rhythm guitars range from slow, mid paced to fast black metal riffs that have somewhat of a black'n' roll feeling to them as well as some experimental elements being thrown into the riffing at times, while the lead guitars are very catchy sounding black metal guitar solos and leads.
Vocals are mostly grim sounding black metal screams with some spoken word parts being utilized at times as well as a brief use of deep blackened death metal growls, while the lyrics cover Satanism, Anti Christian and Darkness themes, as for the production it has a very strong and powerful sound for being a self released recording where you can hear all of the musical instruments that are present on the ep.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Nazgulum and if you are a fan of blasphemous black metal with avant garde elements, you should check out this e.p. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Armageddon" and "Goat Reign". RECOMMENDED BUY.
