Sol Sistere are a band from Chile that plays a very atmospheric and melodic form of black metal and this is a review of their 2016 album "Unfading Incorporeal Vacuum" which was released by by Hammerheart Records.
Acoustic and clean guitar playing starts off the album and the solos and leads are done in a very melodic fashion and once the music gets heavy and speeds up a great amount of blast beats can be heard and the vocals are mostly grim yet high pitched black metal screams and the fast riffs also use a decent amount of tremolo picking which also gives the songs a more raw feeling.
All of the musical instruments on the recording have a very powerful sound to them and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and you can also h ear a great amount of melody in the guitar riffing and a great portion of the tracks a re very long and epic in length and clean playing and acoustic guitars also make a return on some of the other tracks and they also bring in a brief instrumental that introduces violins onto the recording before closing the album with 2 heavy vocal tracks.
Sol Sistre plays a style of black metal that is very melodic and atmospheric while also having its raw and aggressive moments, the production sounds very powerful while the lyrics cover Mysticism, Occultism, Life, Death, Dimensions, Feelings and Reincarnation themes.
In my opinion Sol Sistre are a very great sounding atmospheric and melodic black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this cassette. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Death Kneel" "Degraded Soul" and "Seeker Of Souls". 8 out of 10.
