Apoclibbon Doshol are a solo project from Spain that plays a very raw and sci fi orientated form of black metal and this is a review of his 2017 album "Nowhere Near Stars" which was released by Vacula Productions.
A very fast and raw sound starts off the album along with a great amount of blasts and tremolo picking which also gives the songs a more raw feeling along with some crazy sounding black metal screams while clean vocals can be also be heard at times and the riffs also use a good amount of melody.
Both modern and old school influences can be heard while the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and when guitar leads are utilized briefly they are done in a very raw and melodic fashion and the music always remains very heavy, aggressive and chaotic sounding.
Apoclibbon Doshol plays a style of black metal that is very raw, fast and aggressive sounding, the production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover science fiction themes.
In my opinion Apoclibbon Doshol are a very great sounding raw and aggressive black metal solo project and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this recording. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Imdali Nebula System" "Genoma Broxodha" "Cordia" and "Anteus Arion". 8 out of 10.
