Misrule are a solo project from Portland, Oregon that plays a raw mixture of black, death metal and grindcore and this is a review of his 2016 demo "Forced To Suffer" which was released by Sentient Ruin Laboratories.
A very fast, raw and brutal sound starts off the demo along with a great amount of blast beats while the vocals are mostly bestial growls as well as the music mixing in elements of war and death metal as well as the songs also bringing in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts.
A great amount of grindcore elements can also be heard in the music along with most of the songs being very short in length while all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them and the music always remains very heavy, raw and brutal sounding without ever having a soft moment.
Misrule plays a musical style that takes war, black, death metal and grindcore and mixes them together to create a sound of his own, the production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover darkness, death and violence themes.
In my opinion Misrule are a very great sounding mixture of war, black, death metal and grindcore and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this solo project. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Led To The Grave" and "Maggot". 8 out of 10.
