Orga are a band from Indiana that plays a mixture of raw black metal and hardcore punk and this is a review of their 2018 demo which was released on Caligari Records.
Avant garde sounds start off the demo before going into a heavier direction along with the faster sections of the songs bringing in a great amount of tremolo picking and blast beats which also gives the music a more raw feeling while the vocals are mostly high pitched black metal screams.
All of the musical instruments on the recording have a very powerful sound to them while the music has a lot of 90's influences which they mix in with elements of hardcore punk along with the riffs also bringing in a great amount of melody and some of the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and the music always remains very raw and heavy and melodic guitar leads can also be heard briefly as well as the demo closing with spoken word parts.
Orga plays a musical style that takes raw black metal and hardcore punk to create a sound of their own, the production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover dark and nihilistic themes.
In my opinion Orga are a very great sounding raw mixture of black metal and hardcore punk and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Ritual Wisdom" and "Raised In Hell". 8 out of 10.
