Pierre Noir is a solo project from Spain that plays a mixture of black metal and techno and this is a review of his 2019 ep "Licantropia Id The Relationship Of the Barbarized Mankind" which was released by Grabaciones Autobombo.
Programmed beats starts off the ep along with some heavy riffing a few seconds later while spoken word parts can also be heard briefly. When guitar leads are utilized they are also done in a very melodic style as well as some depressive sounding black emtal screams being added into some parts of the music.
Elements of techno and industrial can also be heard quite a bit throughout the recording along with the music sticking mostly to either a slow or mid tempo direction. A small amount of melody can be heard in the guitar riffing as well as both of the tracks sounding very different from each other, clean playing can also be heard briefly on the closing track.
Pierre Noir plays a musical style that takes black metal and techno and mixes them together to create something very original sounding. The production sounds very dark while the lyrics cover Anti Capitalism themes.
In my opinion Pierre Noir is a very great sounding mixture of black metal and techno and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this solo project. RECOMMENDED TRACK "Barbarization Of Mankind". 8 out of 10.
