Midnight Loss are a band from Brazil that plays a very depressive form of black metal and this is a review of their 2019 single "Desbotado e Distante" which was released by Entocomophobic Records.
Clean playing starts off the song which is also over 9 minutes in length while the vocals are mostly depressive black metal screams. heavy riffs are kept in the background briefly before adding in a more dominating presence as the track progresses, spoken word parts and female vocals can also be heard briefly and the song also sticks to a slower direction.
Midnight Loss plays a style of black metal that is very depressive and goes back to the early days of the genre. The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics are written in Portuguese and cover dark and depressive themes.
In my opinion Midnight Loss are a very great sounding depressive black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this single.
