Keiser are a band from Norway that has been featured before in this zine and on this song plays an old school form of black metal and this is a review of t heir single "Sole Victor" which will be released in 2022 by Non Serviam Records.
Dark yet heavy sounding riffing starts off the song while the riffs also add in a decent amount of melody. All of the musical instruments on the recording also have a very powerful sound to them along with some blast beats also being utilized when the music speeds up as well as the solos and leads also being done in a very melodic style.
When tremolo picking is added onto the track it also gives the recording more of a raw feeling while elements of thrash metal can also be heard at times along with the vocals being mostly grim sounding black metal screams.
On this track Keiser brings in more of a traditional and old school approach to black metal as well as remaining modern at the same time. The production sounds very professional while t he lyrics cover warriors and battle themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding track from Keiser and if you are a fan of old school black metal, you should check out this single. 8 out of 10.
