Burial Curse are a duo from Los Angles, California that plays a bestial and cavernous mixture of war, black, doom and death metal and this is a review of their self titled 2022 ep which will be released in April by Dawnbreed Records..
Ritualistic sounding synths start off the ep before going into a heavier direction while dark sounding melodies are also added into some of the guitar riffing. When the music speeds up a decent amount of war metal elements and blast beats can be heard and the vocals also add in a mixture of bestial, guttural, cavernous death metal growls and black metal screams.
The slower sections of the songs are also very heavily rooted in doom/death metal while the music also mixes in a great amount of 90's era influences. Throughout the recording you can also hear a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts along with the solos and leads also being done in a very chaotic style when they are utilized.
Burial Curse plays a musical style that take s war, bestial black/death and doom/death emtal and mixes them together to create a sound of their own. The production sounds very dark and r aw while the lyrics cover war, death and decay themes.
In my opinion Burial Curse are a very great sounding bestial and cavernous mixture of war, black, doom and death metal and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this duo. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Seeping Bile" and "Levitating Flesh Construction". 8 out of 10.
