Turkey's Persecutory have returned with a new recording which shows the music going for a mixture of war, black, death and thrash metal and this is a review of their 2022 album "Summoning The Lawless Legions" which will b e released in March by Godz Ov War Productions.
Dark yet melodic riffing starts off the album along with some high pitched black metal s creams a few seconds later. When guitar solos and leads are utilized they also add in a great amount of melody while all of the musical instruments on the recording also have a very powerful sound to them.
All of the tracks are also very long and epic in length while the faster sections of the songs also add in a great amount of blast beats. Melodic vocals can also be heard in some parts of the recording along with the guitar riffing also mixing in elements of thrash metal at times and throughout the album you can also hear a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts.
Tremolo picking and war metal influences can also be heard in the faster sections of the songs which also gives the recording more of a raw feeling. A lot of the music is also very heavily influenced by death metal and all of the album also sticks to a heavier direction. The production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover Satanism, Occultism and Darkness themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Persecutory and if you are a fan of war, black, death and thrash metal, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "As The Serpents Ascend" and "Circle of The Spirit Devourers". 8 out of 10.
