UKĆ are a solo project from Poland that has had music reviewed before in this zine and plays a very atmospheric and progressive form of black metal and this is a review of his 2024 album "Coming Out - Love And hate Diaries" which will be released in February by Theogonia Records.
A very dark, heavy and melodic sound starts off the album while the solos and leads also add in a lot of melody. Spoken word parts can also be heard on a couple of songs along with a great portion of the tracks also being very long and epic in length and all of the musical instruments also have a very powerful sound to them.
Vocals are done in mostly an angry shouting style while the music also gets very progressive sounding at times. When the music speeds up a great amount of raw black metal tremolo picking and blast beats can also be heard and the songs also add in a good mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts.
Acoustic guitars are also added into certain sections of the recording along with some tracks also adding in a small amount of clear vocals as well as the music also having its atmospheric moments. The production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover personal and global struggles.
In my opinion this is another great sounding album from UKĆ and if you are a fan of atmospheric and progressive black metal, you should check out this recording. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Fading Away" "To The Fall" and "...Fool For A Lifetime". 8 out of 10.
