Aeora are a solo project from Carlinville, Illinois that plays a very melodic and atmospheric form of black metal and this is a review of his 2016 album "Perseiderna" which was released by Naturmacht Productions.
Ambient sounds and clean guitars start off and also mixes in with the heavier and more melodic side of the music and when the music speeds up a great amount of tremolo picking and blast beats can be heard which also gives the recording more of a raw feeling while the vocals are mostly grim black metal screams.
Deep growls can also be heard at times and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and the music also gets very atmospheric at times and the solos and leads are done in a very melodic direction and all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them and a great portion of the tracks are very long and epic in length and some songs also bring in a small amount of acoustic guitars and the music also gets very progressive at times and there is also a short keyboard instrumental before closing the album with a heavier track.
Aeora plays a style of black metal that is very epic, melodic, progressive and atmospheric sounding, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover A Moment In Time, Nature, and Quadrinitism themes.
In my opinion Aeora are a very great sounding melodic and atmospheric black metal solos project and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "The Rainflower Crest" "Alpenglow" and "For The Long Road Home". 8 out of 10.
