Diktatur/L, Agonie d' Un Monde/MELANCHOLIA RECORDS?2016 EP Review

  Diktatur  are  a  band  from  France  that  plays an  aggressive  form  of  black  metal  with  electronic  music  touches and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2016  ep "L,  Agonie  d'  Un  Monde"  which  was  released  by  MELANCHOLIA  RECORDS.

  A  very  heavy  guitar  sound  starts  off  the  ep  before  speeding  up  and  adding  in  blast  beasts  and  high  pitched  black  metal  screams  and  the  songs  also  bring  in  a  great  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  and  the  riffs  also  use  a  decent  amount  of  melody  while  the  tremolo  picking  gives  the  songs  more  of  a  raw  feeling.

  All  of  the  musical  instruments  on  the  recording  have  a  very  powerful  sound  to  them  and  when  synths  are utilized they  bring  in  elements  of  modern  electronic  music  while  the  heavier  riffs  also  bring  in  a  more  current  style  of  black  metal  and  spoken  word  parts  are  also  used  briefly  and  their  is  also  a brief  use  of  clean  singing.

  Diktatur  plays  a  style  of  black  metal  that  is  very  modern  yet  raw  sounding  and  also  adds  in  eelments  of  electronic  music  to  make  the  genre  sound  different,  the  production  sounds  very  raw  and  powerful  while  the  lyrics  are  written  in  French  and  cover  dark  and  violent  themes.

  In  my  opinion  Diktatur  are  a  very  great  sounding  aggressive  black  metal  band  with  electronic  music  touches  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  those  musical  genres, you  should  check  out  this band.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Comme  Une  Ombre"  and  "L,  Agonie  d'  Un  Monde".  8  out  of  10.
