Parusight are a solo project from the United Kingdom that plays a very raw and depressive form of black metal and this is a review of his 2024 album "Deathly Pale" which will be released on october 18th by Wulfhure Productions.
A very dark yet heavy sound starts off the album while the tremolo picking in the riffing also gives the music more of a raw feeling. Melodies can also be heard at times along with some of the songs also adding in a small amount of clean playing while the vocals are mostly high pitched depressive black metal screams.
The songs also mix in a good amount of old school influences while the faster sections of the album also add in a lot of blast beats. Throughout the recording you can also hear a good mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts along with some synths also being utilized in certain sections of the album and a couple of the tracks are also very long and epic in length, one song is also an instrumental.
Parusight plays a style of black metal that is very raw and depressive in the mid 90's to early 2000's tradition. The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover dark and melancholic themes.
In my opinion Parusight are a very great sounding raw and depressive black metal solo project and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "A Clash Of Stars" "Lost in A Shadow" and "Malignant". 8 out of 10.
